Study of the design of the Russian-language interface of Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms: a case study of AliExpress

Chen S., Abueva N.A., Abuev U.A.

Abstract

this article is devoted to the study of the design of the Russian-language interface of Chinese cross-border e-commerce platforms, with an emphasis on the analysis of the AliExpress example. The introduction substantiates the relevance of the problem: the rapid expansion of international trade demands effective localization from platforms, since a well-adapted interface promotes increased trust and convenience for Russian-speaking users. The authors point out significant differences in the cultural perception of information and client expectations, which necessitates a comprehensive study in this area. The methodological section of the article describes the applied approach, which includes a combination of qualitative and quantitative research methods. The methods used include analysis of user reviews, expert evaluation of interface localization, interviews with representatives of the target audience, and surveys. Additionally, a comparative analysis with similar platforms was conducted, which allowed for the identification of the strengths and weaknesses of the current solution. Special attention is paid to the analysis of graphic and textual elements of the interface adapted for Russian-speaking users, in order to determine their compliance with the expectations and usability standards. The research results show that the existing AliExpress design for the Russian-speaking audience has significant potential, but it is accompanied by several issues. Difficulties were identified in the interpretation of terms, insufficient adaptation of visual components, and navigation problems, which negatively affect the user experience. Moreover, testing data indicated that the time required to locate necessary functions and products increases significantly due to shortcomings in information structuring. The obtained quantitative indicators confirm the need to adjust the interface to reduce the entry barrier for new users.

Ideological and aesthetic principles of Soviet book illustration in the 1950s: thematic and stylistic analysis

Peng B.

Abstract

this article explores the key ideological and aesthetic parameters of book illustration in the Soviet Union during the 1950s. Through a thematic and stylistic analysis of representative illustrative works, the study reveals the mechanisms of visualizing socialist values and regulating artistic language within the framework of centralized cultural policy. Special attention is given to the role of illustrators and publishing houses as agents in the formation of a normative visual code that reinforced political and educational directives in the public consciousness. The research is based on a comparative examination of different types of publications – from heroic-revolutionary prose to children's and popular science literature – allowing for an analysis of the spectrum of artistic approaches within the defined ideological paradigm. The article concludes that book illustration of this period functioned not merely as a decorative component of the text but as a tool of ideological transmission that contributed to shaping the visual identity of Soviet society.

Lin Yutang. Peculiarities of perception of Confucius

Dyshenov A.V.

Abstract

the article is devoted to the study of the peculiarities of Lin Yutang's perception of Confucius. In modern science, different ideas about the personality of the founder of Confucianism are common: philosopher, politician, writer, scientist, folklorist, etc. What was Confucius really like? Over the approximately 2,500-year history since his birth, attitudes toward Confucius have changed from extremely positive (“sacralization”) to radically negative – “Criticism of Lin Biao and Confucius.” What are the reasons for such changes? The world-famous Chinese writer Lin Yutang (1895-1976), drawing an exclusively “humane” portrait of Confucius, and gives his answers to these questions regarding the problematic research of Confucius in the field of source study, research methodology, the subjectivity of researchers and objective historical reality. Based on the use of the biographical method of Sainte-Beuve, Lin Yutang comes to the conclusion about the priority of the “Five classics” instead of the “Four books”, as well as the relevance of modern studies of the personality of Confucius and his teachings not only for foreign references in the era of the “turn to the East”, but also for China itself in order to counteract the negative aspects of globalization. To a certain extent, generally accepted criticism of Lin Yutang leans towards his “Taoist subjectivism,” while the analysis of his humanistic and Christian views deserves special attention from researchers. The obtained research results fill out the overall picture not only in the history of research on Confucius, but mainly in the history of research on the work of Lin Yutang.

Bilingualism in childhood: advantages and possible risks

Tsybdenova B.Z.

Abstract

the article discusses the problem of developing bilingualism in childhood in a modern multicultural society, models of learning two languages at an early age, advantages, possible difficulties, and risks associated with the development of early bilingualism. Today, some researchers tend to assess the impact of bilingualism on the intellectual and cultural development of a person as a positive phenomenon, provided that the teaching of two languages is properly organized, at the same time, many scientists, practicing teachers and methodologists are quite wary and negative about the formation of early bilingualism, which indicates that this problem is quite complex and requires additional and comprehensive research. The review of works showed that the formation of children's bilingualism can be associated with some difficulties and problems, such as: inhibition of language and general intellectual development, speech disorders, cognitive impairment and confusion of languages. A competent organization of verbal communication with a child, a systematic and purposeful approach to learning, taking into account the psychological and age characteristics of the child, the creation of a foreign language environment (language immersion) contribute to the development and formation of a pure and balanced bilingualism of the child, which positively affects the child’s general intellectual development.

The phenomenon of text categories as a fundamental condition for the formation of the text of a German parable

Levchenko M.N., Gorshkov I.P.

Abstract

the main object of this article is such genre and type of text as a parable. The study was conducted on the material of ten German-language parables. In the article, using the example of F. Kafka's parable "Gibs auf!", the language means involved in the representation of five main text categories are analyzed: temporality, locality, modality, referentiality and personality, followed by the construction of textual architectonics and the definition of dominant, neutral and secondary categories. Based on the considered theoretical material, the article identifies seven fundamental genre features characteristic of parables in German literature. The main goal of the article is to describe the correlation model of the identified genre features with the typological characteristics of the parable, taking into account the activity of invariant signals of each of the text categories. The established model allows not only to determine the most significant genre features of the parable, but also to trace the mutual influence of genre and grammatical characteristics in the formation of the text of the parable. The research materials can be used in theoretical courses on linguistics and stylistics of German texts, and also make a certain addition to the typology of text as a whole.

Gurnyak E.K., Nekrasova M.Y.

Abstract

this article tackles the problem of the primary linguistic mechanisms used in argotism formation, the research is based on the lexicon of Russian-speaking drug users. The aim of the work is to examine the productive word-formation methods that ensure the development and functioning of this sociolect. The article analyses place of argot within language variability within the framework of sociolinguistic approach, with an emphasis on diastratic stratification, determined by the social belonging of language speakers. Special attention is paid to productive word-formation processes such as semantic transformations (metaphor, metonymy), derivational models (affixation, affixless method), borrowings (including Anglicisms and elements of criminal argot), and onomatopoeia. The analysis of examples demonstrates that the argot of drug users represents a complex and systemically organized linguistic subsystem, actively utilizing universal language resources for the realization of specific social functions, such as group member identification, conspiracy, and the expression of group identity. The research emphasizes the role of argot in creating a unique communicative space, reflecting the socio-cultural specificities of this environment.

Naive ideas about the German language in humorous discourse

Balakina L.V.

Abstract

the adoption of the anthropocentric paradigm in the humanities and the rapid development of cognitive linguistics and linguoculturology have led to significant changes in the study of language and a shift in interest towards studying the ideas of ordinary users about language, which allows us to obtain valuable information about language as a social and cultural phenomenon, which indicates the relevance of this topic. The purpose of the article is to analyze naive ideas about the German language based on Mark Twain’s humorous essay “Die schreckliche deutsche Sprache” and German everyday jokes. The analysis of the humorous discourse made it possible to identify which aspects of the language and linguistic phenomena, being objects of comic playing, are particularly difficult to assimilate in the minds of native speakers of German and those studying it as a foreign language. The results obtained can be used in further research that contributes to understanding the mechanisms of the formation of stereotypes and prejudices about languages, improving intercultural communication and teaching methods of the German language.

Neologisms in modern German

Kurochkina E.A.

Abstract

any language аs а living organism is constantly evolving and enriched with new words. Thus, in recent times a large number оf new words and expressions have appeared in the German language, touching upon а wide variety оf areas of social life. This work is devoted tо the consideration of the features оf the formation of neologisms in the modern German language over the past fеw years. The material fоr the study was provided by the online dictionaries Dudеn, DWDS (Digitаles W?rterbuch dеr deutschen Sprache), LЕO, Neologismenw?rterbuch (owid.dе), Bedeutung Оnline-W?rtеrbuch: Internet, Ph?nomеne und Sprache еrkl?rt. Аs a result оf the conducted research, it wаs established that the most productive methods of word formation are compounding, borrowings, mainly from the English language, and, as а result оf the adaptation of new lexical units, germanization, i.e. the process of adoption by a new lexical unit of the phonetic and grammatical features of the German language. The majority of lexical innovations appeared in the economic and socio-political spheres оf life of German society, which is associated with significant historical events taking place оn the world stage: military conflicts, economic wars, political crises, population migration and, as а result, the interaction оf different cultures. All this has аn impact on modern living languages, including German.

The main character of the novel “Riders of the Dawn” – a symbol of a national hero

Alkhasova S.M.

Abstract

this article examines the specifics of the novel by the Kabaodino-Cherkess writer Akhmedkhan Naloev "Riders of the Dawn". The author's main attention is focused on the image of the main character – Zalimgeriy Kerefov. The author argues that the crisis of ideals and the internal struggle of the protagonist of the novel "Riders of the Dawn" lead the hero to a real internal crisis. It is shown that he realizes that the people to whom he has repeatedly addressed with speeches and appeals are not yet ready for revolution and liberation. It is proven that in the end the hero begins to understand that his dreams and hopes for changing the world, for the struggle for the people, were too ambitious and idealized. This understanding leads the protagonist of the novel to deep disappointment in his life and ideas. Especially painful for the hero is the realization that he cannot find comrades-in-arms, and around him there are more and more people who are not interested in the revolution, but think about their own material interests.

Impact of digital personalization on the public sphere: news content visibility and agenda polarization in the conditions of recommendation systems

Wan T., Zhang B.

Abstract

this article examines the impact of digital personalization on the formation of the public sphere, paying special attention to the visibility of news content and agenda polarization in the context of algorithmic recommendation systems. Based on the analysis of modern research and empirical data, it is shown how personalized algorithms form “filter bubbles” and “echo chambers”, limiting users’ access to pluralistic information. The key mechanisms of recommendation systems’ operation are identified, including the analysis of users’ digital traces, optimization of engagement, and prioritization of emotionally charged content. It is established that algorithmic curation contributes to the formation of parallel information spaces, where different groups of users receive fundamentally different sets of news, which increases political polarization. It is shown that personalization not only reduces the diversity of content consumed, but also affects the structure of public debate, creating “parallel agendas”. At the same time, regulating algorithmic bias remains a complex task due to the contradictions between the commercial interests of platforms and the public goals of media pluralism.

Intertextuality in advertising discourse: linguopragmatic aspect

Uzentsova E.A., Molchanova S.E.

Abstract

this article presents the results of the analysis of specific possibilities of intertextuality in advertising discourse. For this purpose, the authors analyzed theoretical sources reflecting the key concepts for this study. The authors provide an interpretation of the concept of discourse in general and systematize the features of one of its institutional varieties, in particular, advertising discourse. The article presents an overview of narrow and broad approaches to the interpretation of the concept of intertextuality, and indicates the main forms of explication of intertext. Based on a narrow understanding of intertextuality, the authors conducted a study of advertising materials containing intertextual inclusions to identify the features of their functioning in the context of advertising discourse. The authors found that intertextuality in advertising is capable of implementing a powerful pragmatic impact. The analysis of the language material of advertising videos demonstrates the possibility of reducing the selective effect of using intertext, which seems undesirable for advertising discourse. The article also provides a rationale for the need to take into account the axiological attitudes and guidelines of modern society when using intertext as a tool of influence in advertising discourse. The results obtained can be used by specialists in the field of advertising and marketing when creating advertising materials.

Yu Z.

Abstract

this article examines the phenomenon of multimodal reconstruction of context in the translation of Chinese films into Russian, based on the film Me and My Homeland. Culture-specific films face a complex task of conveying meaningful information while considering differences in audience perception across cultures. This study explores how multimodal reconstruction – the use of not only textual but also visual, auditory, and other semiotic elements – facilitates the creation of a holistic translation that most faithfully conveys the atmosphere of the original. Special attention is given to strategies that ensure accuracy and cultural adequacy in the translation. The article also examines the impact of these strategies on enhancing the emotional effect on viewers and on forming a localized narrative that meets the expectations of the target audience. Various methods used to overcome linguistic and cultural barriers are analyzed, along with their role in shaping audience perception and the identity of the translated work.

Pedagogical conditions for mastering the vocal cycles of European composers in the course of the history of foreign music by students from the People's Republic of China

Ouyang G.

Abstract

students-musicians from the PRC, receiving professional training in Russian universities, to one extent or another master the works of Western composers in courses of theoretical (history of Russian and foreign music, analysis of musical works) and practical (piano, choral singing, chamber ensemble and others) disciplines. At the same time, Chinese students are faced with problems of both understanding the imaginative, semantic, and emotional content of the vocal cycles of European composers, and the style of their performance, due to a complex of reasons from an insufficiently high level of proficiency in Russian and European languages to national-cultural, genre-style, melodic-rhythmic and other differences between Chinese music and studied by students of Western European. Special pedagogical conditions contribute to solving the problem, including: studying cycle programs, historical and cultural context, theoretical foundations of European music, conducting a complete analysis of works, including comparative ones, applying a style approach, a multi-artistic method, the principle of associativity in the development of emotional-imaginative thinking and visualization to intensify auditory perception of music.

The role of interdisciplinary connections in the formation of the stage image and professional stability of a Chinese student tenor

Cheng P.

Abstract

this study examines the crucial issue of training Chinese tenor students within a different cultural environment, using Russia as a case study. The author argues that the traditional, narrowly focused approach to vocal pedagogy fails to adequately develop either a compelling stage persona or the necessary professional resilience. The latter is particularly vital for foreign students facing linguistic, methodological, and cultural challenges. The aim of this work is to identify and analyze how the systematic use of interdisciplinary connections impacts the quality of the stage image and the level of professional resilience in Chinese tenors. Based on a comprehensive qualitative study—including analysis of scholarly literature, review of curricula, and synthesis of pedagogical experience—the author identifies and concretizes key interdisciplinary connections. The results convincingly demonstrate that systematic interdisciplinary integration significantly enhances the quality of the stage persona. The deep interconnection and interdependence of these two aspects (stage persona and resilience) are emphasized. Particular attention is paid to the specific characteristics of Chinese students and how interdisciplinarity helps overcome cultural-linguistic barriers and fosters a unique professional identity. The theoretical significance of the research lies in conceptualizing the role of interdisciplinary links in vocal pedagogy and deepening the understanding of training Chinese vocalists through the lens of cross-cultural dialogue. The practical value is expressed in specific recommendations for educators.

Patriotic education of youth in modern reality: strategy for forming a civic position

An S.A., Skopa V.A.

Abstract

the study analyzes the key challenges and strategic directions for the development of the system of formation of citizenship and national identity of the younger generation in modern Russian realities. The process of education of a patriotic worldview presupposes the comprehensive activities of state and public institutions aimed at the formation of stable value attitudes of young people associated with the awareness of national identity, readiness for selfless service to the Fatherland and protection of its state interests. The significant dissonance between the declared patriotic principles and the real level of civic self-awareness of young Russians is emphasized. A significant part of young people demonstrates a fragmentary, superficial understanding of the essence of patriotism, which indicates the need for a radical rethinking of approaches to the formation of a nationally oriented worldview. A significant part of the younger generation demonstrates a pragmatic approach, characterized by a skeptical attitude towards unconditional attachment to the Motherland in the global socio-cultural space. It is shown that patriotic education in modern Russian conditions is a complex, multi-level system subject to constant transformations. The effectiveness of this system directly depends on the synchronized activities of various social institutions - from educational institutions to youth public organizations. The key challenge is the need to develop flexible, adaptive mechanisms for the formation of citizenship, capable of taking into account the rapidly changing social context and individual characteristics of the modern youth subculture.

Media literacy in the context of improving the effectiveness of the educational process

Bogdanova V.P.

Abstract

the article presents research materials on the use of multimedia technologies in the educational process, as well as their impact on communication and, above all, on education. Almost any modern person spends more than 11 hours a day interacting with media. On average, adults watch TV for about 8 hours every day, and children between the ages of two and almost adulthood spend about 25 hours a week watching TV. According to the National Union of Family Associations (UNAF), minors spend about 154 hours of productive time with their parents and 850 hours with their teachers every year, while they spend about 1400 hours in the media space. The role of media in people's lives and the educational process is constantly increasing. Therefore, it is important to develop media literacy, which allows you to learn both the specifics of behavior in the media and to acquire or improve the ability to communicate in the media space, as well as to respond to print, television, radio, cinema, and video. Today, media education is of key importance in the context of preparing the younger generation to achieve their life goals, including professional goals. The modern information society also requires the younger generation to be able to perceive a variety of information, develop the ability to understand, recognize, analyze, and select information, as well as to analyze the impact of information on their own and others' mental health, and to master non-verbal communication techniques using technology. These goals are intended to be achieved through the creation of a new information space. This publication is based on the need to develop media literacy skills.

Ezhova A.V., Goynov I.V., Alisov S.A., Akindinov A.V.

Abstract

the article considers the issue of the relationship between speed-strength qualities and the effectiveness of the starting acceleration in sprinters in the annual training cycle. The study examined the level of development of special physical qualities and speed in individual sections of the starting acceleration in short-distance runners. The relationship between the indicators at two stages of observation and changes in this relationship over time are determined. The main trends in changes in the level of individual physical qualities and their impact on the effectiveness of the starting acceleration of short-distance runners are revealed. As a result of the conducted, we came to the conclusion that the increase in the studied indicators occurred unevenly and non-simultaneously, in some cases almost identical changes were characteristic in the first and second semi-annual cycle, in other cases, changes in test indicators were significantly greater in the first macrocycle or in the second. At the same time, all subjects experienced an increase in running speed in the starting acceleration and an increase in the level of special physical qualities, which indicates the advisability of using targeted pedagogical influence.

The dynamics of physical development in children with autism spectrum disorder aged 11-13 years

Sachek V.V., Klikushina Y.I.

Abstract

the article presents the results of an empirical study of the dynamics of physical development in adolescents aged 11-13 with autism spectrum disorders (ASD), conducted in an adaptive boarding school in 2024-2025. During a three-stage pedagogical experiment (theoretical, formative, and analytical), the level of development of five basic physical qualities – endurance, strength, speed, flexibility, and agility – was diagnosed using standardized and adapted tests. Data analysis showed low growth rates for most indicators: endurance (+1.4%), strength (+3.4%), speed (+0.4%), flexibility (+7%). At the same time, there was a 12.9% decrease in the agility test results, which indicates a decline in coordination abilities. The results obtained allow us to conclude that traditional adaptive physical education programs are insufficiently effective due to the incompatibility of methods and means with the specifics of the psychophysical development of children with ASD. The article justifies the need to develop individualized, correction-oriented physical education programs that take into account the sensory, emotional, and motor characteristics of this category of students. The study emphasizes the importance of a systematic approach to the formation of motor experience and social adaptation of adolescents with autism spectrum disorders.

Issues in developing written communication strategies of technical students in digital communication

Suvorova Y.I.

Abstract

the relevance of the study is determined by the digitalization of the professional sphere, where written interaction increasingly takes place through emails, messengers, and forums. This shift requires future engineers not only to possess lexical and grammatical competence, but also to be able to consciously plan, structure, and adapt texts in accordance with genre, pragmatic, and sociocultural conventions. The purpose of the study is to identify and systematize the challenges arising in the development of written communication strategies among technical students, as well as to determine methodological guidelines for overcoming them. The findings indicate that strategy development is often fragmented and unsystematic, characterized by a low level of awareness in their application, violations of genre and pragmatic relevance, lack of audience orientation, and the presence of emotional and motivational barriers. The practical significance of the study lies in the possibility of applying its findings to the design of English for Specific Purposes courses for technical university students. The study materials can serve as a basis for developing teaching methods that integrate training in genre-based, pragmatic, and reflective skills, as well as modeling real-life online interaction scenarios, thereby contributing to the enhancement of professional written communication in the digital environment.

Development of pedagogical education in Siberia and the Far East in connection with the tasks of introducing universal primary education

Voitekhovskaya M.P., Kochurina S.A.

Abstract

the success of modern reforms in the education system largely depends on the teacher and the entire system of training teaching staff. European principles of education have not taken root on Russian soil, the rejection of domestic traditions has led to a decline in the quality of education, and attempts to introduce European spiritual values have generated major problems in the field of education of the younger generation. Historical experience should serve as a basis for modern transformations in the education system, including pedagogical education. The formation of a network of pedagogical educational institutions in Siberia and the Far East began in connection with the tasks of introducing universal primary education in the first years of the 20th century, and in 1917 – early 1930s it took place using the potential of pre-revolutionary teacher seminaries and institutes. Since political power in the region repeatedly changed hands during the civil war, the process of forming a Soviet model of pedagogical education was associated with a number of problems. Only with the final establishment of Soviet power in Siberia and the Far East were all-Russian transformations carried out in the system of training teaching staff, the network of pedagogical educational institutions was expanded, which ensured the introduction of universal compulsory education in the region, as well as throughout the country, in rural areas in the amount of a four-year primary school, and in cities and workers' settlements – in the amount of a seven-year school. The expansion of the network of pedagogical universities and technical schools beyond the Urals continued in subsequent years, meeting the needs of the development of the general and vocational education system of the region.
