Domestic and foreign experience of the study of consequences of psychotraumatic situations: analysis and results of own research
Abstract
the study of the psychological consequences of traumatic situations remains one of the most pressing issues in modern psychology. The increasing number of emergencies, armed conflicts, and social instability worldwide necessitates a profound analysis of both domestic and international research in this field to develop effective psychological interventions. This study aims to conduct a comparative analysis of fundamental theoretical approaches and practical advancements in the study of psychological trauma consequences in domestic and foreign science. Furthermore, it presents the results of an empirical study designed to identify the specifics of post-traumatic stress reactions on a non-clinical sample. The research is based at a psychological center and utilizes a non-clinical sample. The methodological approach includes analytical review and content analysis of relevant literature and empirical data. The study identifies key differences and similarities between theoretical paradigms and practical methodologies used in domestic and international trauma research. The empirical part reveals specific patterns of post-traumatic stress reactions within the studied sample. The findings contribute to a deeper understanding of cross-cultural perspectives on trauma and have practical implications for developing targeted psychological support strategies.

Analysis of scientific approaches to the phenomenon of cognitive competence
Abstract
the article analyzes the phenomenon of cognitive competence in the context of modern education and the competence-based approach. The author examines the conceptual differences between “competence” and “competency,” drawing on the works of A.V. Khutorsky, I.A. Zimnyaya, E.F. Zeer, and other scholars. Special attention is paid to cognitive competence as an integral personal quality that combines knowledge, skills, abilities, motivation, and readiness for cognitive activity. The study demonstrates that cognitive competence ensures the effectiveness of educational and professional activities, fosters the development of critical, creative, and systemic thinking, and contributes to the formation of a professional’s personality. The structural components of cognitive competence (knowledge, skills, experience, motivational aspects, intellectual abilities), their functional interrelation, and their role in cognitive activity are explored. The article concludes that a comprehensive approach to educational programs is essential, implying the development of all components of cognitive competence. Such an approach increases the effectiveness of learning and the preparation of specialists capable of successfully adapting to modern socio-cultural conditions and professional challenges.

Diagnosis of suicidal-depressive emotional state using computer analysis of images posted on social networks
Abstract
the article discusses the issue of diagnosing suicidal and depressive states of users of social networks by analyzing the color scheme of images and inscriptions placed on them. The color preferences of users in groups of images with suicidal and depressive tendencies were studied. The results of the study largely coincide with the results of other studies in this area. A connection was found between a high content of "negative" colors and a set of words characteristic of depressive behavior. The conducted research shows that a large number of the specified words and the color scheme of the preferred images can be an indicator of a complex psycho-emotional state. The results of the study show that indirect text and graphic signs in statements can serve as an additional tool for their suicidal orientation and, together with other tools, increase the accuracy of diagnosing the possibility of suicide among users of social networks. A set of tools has been created and published to enable such research.

Requirements for constructing an elective history course model for teachers and students of general secondary schools
Abstract
the article explores theoretical and practical foundations for designing elective history courses in secondary schools. Elective courses are shown to address students’ educational interests, foster research and critical thinking skills, and contribute to the development of patriotism and civic responsibility. Findings from a comprehensive study (2019-2021) conducted in five schools across different territorial contexts demonstrated increased student motivation and engagement, improved learning outcomes, and the development of independent study competencies. The proposed course design is based on systemic, competence-based, and learner-centered approaches. A multi-level structure is outlined, including diagnostic, project-research, and presentation stages, followed by reflection. The importance of integrating ICT, online learning platforms, virtual and augmented reality technologies, and interdisciplinary connections is emphasized. Key challenges to implementation include limited school resources, insufficient instructional time, and the need for professional development among teachers. In conclusion, the proposed model of elective history courses meets modern educational standards, provides flexibility and variability, and promotes the formation of essential competencies while enhancing the overall quality of history education.

Working mother of a young child and her coping strategies for stress
Abstract
the article explores the specific features of coping strategies used by working mothers of young children. The relevance of this topic stems from the increasing demands placed on women who combine professional responsibilities with motherhood, especially in the context of a fast-paced lifestyle and insufficient social support. The empirical research was conducted using validated psychodiagnostic tools, including the Psychological Stress Measure (PSM-25), Lazarus and Folkman’s coping questionnaires, as well as the SACS and MDICS instruments. The sample consisted of 51 female respondents, categorized according to their children’s age groups and employment status. The results revealed that working mothers exhibit a higher level of stress compared to non-working mothers, which was confirmed by statistically significant differences on the PSM-25 scale. At the same time, they more frequently employ adaptive coping strategies such as seeking social support and positive reappraisal, reflecting a tendency toward constructive stress management. However, a portion of respondents also displayed maladaptive behavioral patterns such as avoidance, impulsive, and manipulative actions, indicating a need for additional psychological support. Based on the findings, practical recommendations were formulated to reduce chronic stress and enhance the psychological resilience of working mothers. These include the development of corporate support programs, flexible work arrangements, active involvement of family members in childcare, the use of professional assistance, and the application of psychological support and relaxation techniques. The study concludes with a call for further research into women's stress resilience and the development of comprehensive support measures that facilitate the balance between professional and parental roles.

Dominance without hierarchy: analysis of the triumph scene on King Den's tablet from the perspective of psychology of art
Abstract
this article presents an interdisciplinary study of a unique artifact of ancient Egyptian art – the tablet of King Den (1st Dynasty) – through the lens of the psychology of visual perception. The central research problem is the paradox of identical scaling of the figures of the king and the defeated enemy while maintaining the effect of absolute dominance, which has no analogues in later Egyptian iconography. The methodological framework of the study combines Rudolf Arnheim’s structural-psychological analysis, embodied cognition theory, and semiotic approaches, enabling a shift from traditional iconographic interpretation to the study of the immanent mechanisms of how visual form influences viewer perception. The study identifies key formal techniques that ensure the psychological persuasiveness of the image: dynamic tension between the vertical vector of the king’s figure and the horizontal vector of the defeated enemy, the principles of pregnance and isolation, as well as the organization of poses and gestures that evoke kinesthetic empathy in the viewer. Special attention is paid to the functional context of the artifact (as part of royal sandals), which transforms the abstract composition into a physically experienced ritual of power assertion.

Traumatic events as correlations of hopelessness, vitality and Complex PTSD
Abstract
the study of the psychological consequences of traumatic events, particularly sexualized violence, is a priority for modern psychology and psycho-correction. Of particular importance is the investigation of the specifics of Complex Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (C-PTSD) and such interrelated phenomena as hopelessness and reduced vitality, which are predictors of maladaptation and suicidal risk. In the context of educational psychology, the psychological well-being of adolescents who have experienced traumatic events is of utmost importance, as the problem of the long-term psychological consequences of trauma endured in childhood and adolescence is acute. Sexualized violence is a particularly alarming concern, as its consequences can lead to lifelong maladaptation. Despite the high prevalence of trauma sequelae in the educational environment, there is a deficit of qualitative research on the specifics of experiences after sexualized violence and their impact on key personal resources necessary for successful learning and development. Furthermore, there is insufficient research on representative samples demonstrating the persistence and specificity of these consequences in adulthood, which is necessary to justify the importance of early intervention. The study of hopelessness, vitality, and C-PTSD as factors of maladaptation is a fundamental task for developing targeted psychological and pedagogical interventions. Purpose. To identify the long-term psychological consequences of sexualized violence experienced in minors by conducting a comparative analysis of the level of hopelessness, vitality, and symptoms of C-PTSD in adults who have faced different types of psychological trauma. The empirical study was conducted on the basis of a psychological center. It involved three groups of adult participants: an experimental group (individuals who experienced childhood sexual abuse), control group 1 (individuals who experienced other types of trauma), and control group 2 (non-traumatized individuals). The following diagnostic tools were used: Beck's Hopelessness Scale (adapted by N.I. Kolacheva et al.), the Subjective Vitality Scale by R. Ryan and C. Frederick (adapted by L.A. Alexandrova), and the International Trauma Questionnaire by M. Cloitre (adapted by M.A. Padun et al.). For mathematical processing of the results, Student's t-test, Spearman's rank correlation coefficient, and Fisher's F-test were used. The obtained empirical data will prove that the psychological trauma of sexualized violence experienced in childhood has severe and persistent long-term effects, persisting into adulthood. This underscores the critical importance of timely detection and comprehensive psychological, pedagogical, and rehabilitative assistance in adolescence. Based on the research results, a rehabilitation program for adolescents is being developed, aimed at preventing the formation of severe long-term consequences, reducing hopelessness, and restoring personal resources.

Value orientations of modern students involved in esports
Abstract
the rapid growth of eSports and its uncontrolled development, as well as excessive fascination with it, may be the cause of distorted value orientations, which encourage publicists to express their concerns. An expert examination is being conducted in M.A. Bogdanova's research, the results of which establish that the esports environment can create various distorted value orientations through the spread of extremist ideas and the adoption of norms that are immoral to society. [3, p. 191]. A similar position is shared by V.D. Petrovsky and Candidate of Sociological Sciences S.V. Honcharuk, emphasizing that the atmosphere in online communities can often be described as immoral, and communications can be called "toxic." In addition, systematic insults were found in the communities observed by the authors, which, together with the problems voiced earlier, cannot contribute to the preservation of generally accepted norms and value orientations. [11, p. 1, 2] In the work of M.A. Miroshnichenko said that esports not only influence the interests and leisure activities of the younger generation, it has a significant impact on basic orientations and forms new values due to the large and aggressive competition. [8, p. 37]. Other publicists and experts in the field of computer sports, on the contrary, see the potential in the use of eSports and raise the question of its inclusion in the educational process. For example, a study by I.S. Matveeva states that the controlled use of computer sports can contribute to the development of cognitive abilities and speed of decision-making [7, p. 297] and expresses a position on the introduction of computer sports into the educational process [7, p. 295]. The theses in the work of I.V. Sivolobova are in support of the positive aspects of computer sports. The author emphasizes that teamwork can have a beneficial effect on the values being formed [15, p. 31, 32, 33]. Considering the issue of studying value orientations, we found practically a complete lack of scientific papers on the topic of diagnosing the structure of value orientations among esports students and wondered what the value orientations of personality are among students involved in computer sports, including identifying differences (or lack thereof) between esports students acting individually and students representing the university's esports team, with whom psychological work is being conducted. This was the purpose of the study.

The possibilities of project activity in the development of critical thinking among students – future lawyers
Abstract
the article investigates the potential of project-based learning (PBL) as an effective psycho-pedagogical tool for developing critical thinking (CT) skills in law students. The theoretical framework is based on constructivist and social constructivist approaches. An empirical study was conducted using a pre-test/post-test control group design (n=42 in each group) to test the hypothesis that PBL positively impacts the development of CT. The formative experiment involved three types of projects: analysis of case law, drafting normative legal acts, and mock trials. Assessment was carried out using a complex of psychodiagnostic methods (L. Starkey, V.V. Ponomareva, A.V. Karpov, R. Bramson and A. Harrison). The results of the control stage showed a statistically significant improvement in CT indicators in the experimental group: the proportion of students with a high level of CT doubled (from ~21-24% to 50%), and a shift towards analytical and realistic thinking styles was recorded. No changes were observed in the control group. The results prove the effectiveness of project-based learning for the formation of key competencies of future lawyers.

Characteristics of family-marriage and reproductive attitudes of student youth
Abstract
this article discusses the marital and reproductive attitudes of students. The relevance of the presented study is related to the decline in the birth rate, which underlies the demographic crisis. Depopulation processes have a negative impact on the socio-economic development of the country and national security. One of the reasons for depopulation is the decline in marital and reproductive attitudes of the population at fertile age. The study sample was formed from female (n=62) and male (n=62) students studying at universities in Stary Oskol. Respondents were between 18 and 30 years of age (N=124). The study was carried out on the basis of a questionnaire method. The study revealed that young people have positive attitudes regarding official marriage and family relations, but allow premarital cohabitation. Marriage at the age of 26-27 years and the late birth of children is associated with a pronounced motivation for self-development and self-realization. The reproductive attitudes of student youth do not always have a relationship with the number of children in the parental family and are less focused on large families. The preferred family model is associated with the birth of two children, which is not capable of eliminating depopulation. Determining the reasons for the failure of the family institution to perform the reproductive function will make it possible to determine measures to restore the value significance of family and marital relations and the reproductive attitudes of young people.

Improving the skating technique of highly qualified hockey players: development and evaluation of the effectiveness of a specialized training complex
Abstract
this study is devoted to the development and experimental verification of the effectiveness of a training complex aimed at improving the skating technique of professional hockey players. The relevance of the work is due to the increasing demands of modern hockey on the technical skills of players, where the key indicators are speed, maneuverability and economy of movements. The study involved 20 highly qualified hockey players (aged 19-24 years), who were divided into a control and experimental group of 10 people each. The methodological basis of the study included: an 8-week pedagogical experiment, testing using standardized methods (30 m run, 5x54 m shuttle run, passing a small eight), visual expert assessment of skating technique on a 5-point scale, as well as a questionnaire for the coaching staff. The experimental group performed a specially developed set of exercises, including three main blocks: practicing sliding on the outer edges of the skate, improving transitions from the front to the back, and developing maneuverable skating. The results of the study showed a statistically significant advantage of the experimental method. The greatest progress was recorded in the shuttle run indicators (improvement by 1.49 sec versus 0.57 sec in the control group) and visual assessment of technique (improvement by 41.4% versus 12.5%). An increase in starting speed by 5% and an increase in the stability of performing technical elements by 7% were also noted. The data obtained confirm the need for targeted work on skating technique even at the stage of high sportsmanship. The practical significance of the study lies in the development of specific methodological recommendations for organizing the training process, including: mandatory inclusion of specialized exercises 3-4 times a week, the use of objective technique control tools (including video filming), as well as individualization of the load taking into account the playing role of hockey players. The results of the study can be used in the practice of training professional hockey players and in the educational process of sports universities.

Social and humanitarian education: concept, types
Abstract
in the conditions of competition between the natural sciences and the humanities, there is a constant bias in one direction or another, which affects the quality of society. The purpose of this article is to show the importance of social and humanitarian education on the one hand, and to show it in terms of the conceptual apparatus on the other hand and to attempt to classify it as the author sees it. When considering social and humanitarian education, the emphasis on the importance of this area is placed. The need to study disciplines within the scope of interests of social and humanitarian sciences is most relevant in our time, when disputes about their necessity continue, which gives the author the right to once again emphasize this problem. Also, when studying the issue, the author's attention falls on the opinion of colleagues from neighboring countries. The topic raised in this article is of fundamental importance for the development of the spiritual and moral development of the younger generation, which should become the qualitative potential of the future of our country and society. When studying the humanities, like any other, the first priority is the need to understand the concepts and, as a result, to designate a qualitative definition. The article provides a classification from both an industry and methodological point of view.

Project activities of a future teacher
Abstract
the article is devoted to the study of the issues of project activities of future teachers. The author substantiates the relevance and significance of the research topic. It is noted that in connection with the implementation of one of the largest institutional reforms – the reform of vocational education – in the Russian Federation, in the medium term it will be necessary to update the entire educational and program "framework" in universities and change the qualification requirements for positions. As a consequence, quite naturally, not only the trajectory, but also, presumably, the entire strategy of organizing pedagogical activity will begin to change. It is emphasized that these factors should be considered when training future industry specialists today. The author has developed a universal and clarified the correlation scheme of three groups of skills of the teacher's project activities: professional ("hard"), flexible ("soft") and self-management skills ("self-skills"). It has been established that longtail subskills are the optical center of the entire ecosystem of teacher skills and can act as universal substitutes (compensators) in the event that one (or several) of the skills of project or other activities (professional or supra-professional) are insufficiently developed. It has been proven that the correlation of the group of "self-skills" with the groups of "hard" and "flexible" skills is stronger, while there is an indirect relationship between the latter. These dependencies should be considered in the training of future teachers, including in the processes of formation and development of competence in the field of organizing project activities.

Organization of rational nutrition of athletes engaged in triathlons
Abstract
the article highlights the basic principles of nutrition science, which are an important component of sports training. Proper nutrition is crucial for athletes to meet their energy needs and adapt to high-intensity activities, but this aspect is often overlooked. Sports related to prolonged physical exertion and increased energy consumption (such as cycling, running, swimming, and triathlon in general) create a significant burden on the body, therefore, it is important for children involved in triathlons to maintain health through rational nutrition, and this will also affect the achievement of high athletic performance and health maintenance in the future. Developing a diet for young athletes requires taking into account many factors: age, fitness level, training intensity, and individual body needs. The rational nutrition of triathlon athletes should be balanced and take into account the specific features of different periods: before training, during and after training, as well as during competitions. It is important to provide the body with enough "fuel" to maintain energy and performance. Therefore, this article discusses the main elements of a rational diet. The article discusses the results of a study aimed at identifying the current challenges faced by parents and coaches in organizing the rational nutrition of athletes. Based on the results of the study, the article proposes solutions to the most fundamental problems. For example, it is possible to organize additional training for coaches on the principles of sports nutrition. This issue can be addressed through specialized training courses and professional retraining programs.

The development of critical thinking in language students in the process of teaching analytical reading at a macro level
Abstract
this article explores how critical thinking can be developed through analytical reading in a foreign language at a university specialising in pedagogy, where English is studied as the first foreign language. The study aims to examine new methods of fostering thinking skills and abilities via a foreign language. Analytical reading improves the ability to analyse information, evaluate its reliability, understand the behaviour of interacting subjects, and make decisions and draw inferences – all of which are necessary for critical thinking. The pre-textual, textual and post-textual stages enable students to gradually develop synthetic and analytical reading skills. When discussing plot, atmosphere, context, narrative and style, students are encouraged to compare and contrast facts, apply their own experiences and understand the content of what they have read. This allows them to develop a deeper understanding of the content and formulate their own opinions on the subject. Modern, authentic works are chosen as reading material. Experiential learning shows that, through active thinking and discussion in the classroom based on the evaluation and comprehension of facts and events, students learn to interpret the author's position and develop their own stance on what they read. This process also helps them to develop cognitive skills as part of critical thinking.

On the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of practical exercises in tactical training by optimizing the content of special warm-up exercises
Abstract
in the work, the authors reveal the importance of rationally selected exercises included in the warm-up to increase the effectiveness of the training process and minimize injuries during tactical and special classes (trainings) aimed at mastering motor actions with firearms. The results of a study on the search for technological solutions aimed at developing a scientifically based set of warm-up exercises acceptable for use during tactical training in mixed training groups consisting of students of different age categories and gender are presented. According to the authors, the proposed set of special warm-up exercises can be considered as one of the means to increase the efficiency of tactical training. Its use will contribute to improving the activity of the physiological systems of the body, as well as the overall performance of those links of the motor system that will be more actively involved in the main part of the lesson. The authors express the opinion that in the current operational situation, the process of professional training of police officers should ensure in a short time a high level of readiness of law enforcement officers for confident actions with firearms in solving operational and official tasks, including in special conditions of official activity.

Management of the development of vestibulomotor skills in young volleyball players
Abstract
the review summarizes current approaches to managing the development of vestibulomotor qualities in youth volleyball. Stroboscopic (visuovestibular) training, digital monitoring of jump loads using inertial sensors (IMUs), dynamic balance screening (Y-Balance/SEBT), and injury-prevention warm-up programs are examined. Evidence suggests that combining systematic assessment (stabilometry, Y-Balance, IMUs), targeted interventions (stroboscopic drills, core stabilization, reactive balance), and high-adherence warm-ups reduces injuries and enhances technical performance. The paper advocates integrating these tools into micro- and mesocycle structures at early specialization stages.

Preparing students of psychological and pedagogical classes for effective conflict resolution as one of the conditions for an informed choice of profession
Abstract
the relevance of the problem under study is due to the fact that pedagogical activity is associated with a large number of conflicts, their variability and diversity, as well as the increased conflictiveness and incompetence of adolescents and high school students in resolving conflicts, which often leads to disappointment in choosing a teaching profession. In total, the sample consisted of 56 students from psychological and pedagogical classes. The diagnostic program included four methods. According to the results, students from psychological and pedagogical classes do not have a sufficient level of conflict resolution competence, and the practical application of conflict resolution knowledge is particularly challenging. High school students tend to use the passive behavioral strategy of "adjustment.". Based on the results of this study, a training program was developed to teach high school students effective conflict resolution skills.

Problems of using transcription in the first year of a pedagogical university in the field of “Foreign language”
Abstract
this article highlights the importance of developing professional competencies in future foreign language teachers, especially in the field of phonetics and transcription. The updated methodological recommendations of the "Core of Higher Pedagogical Education" highlight the need to unify the structure and content of student training in bachelor's degree programs. Particular attention is paid to the development of phonetic skills, including pronunciation, correct perception of sounds and work with transcription. The article emphasizes that transcription is a key element of phonological competence, closely related to the lexical and grammatical aspects of speech, and the lack of basic knowledge about it negatively affects the training of future teachers. However, practice shows that there is a significant discrepancy between the level of actual skills of students and the minimum required for effective teaching of practical phonetics of the English language in a higher educational institution. A survey of 1st-2nd year students showed that in most cases they enter the university with a low level of transcription proficiency and formation of phonetic skills, which complicates teaching the practical aspects of phonological competence. The conducted survey of students showed that the majority of respondents did not use transcription at school, and their current level of proficiency in it is insufficient for effective study at the university. This creates the need to develop new methods and adapt curricula aimed at bringing students' current skills to the requirements of the work program in the discipline "Practical Phonetics of the English Language". Therefore, the introduction of classes aimed at comprehensive work with transcription and the creation of flexible, practice-oriented teaching methods are the most important tasks for improving the quality of training foreign language teachers. In general, the article demonstrates the need to improve the level of phonological competence of students through systematic work with transcription, which in the future will make the training of specialists in the field of teaching foreign languages ??more effective.

Methods of overcoming the bystander effect in team sports: pedagogical and psychological aspects
Abstract
materials and methods: the work uses the materials of theoretical analysis of scientific literature on the problem of the bystander effect in team sports for the period 1968-2025. To systematize the data on the mechanisms of occurrence and methods of overcoming the bystander effect, the methods of comparative analysis of theoretical approaches, generalization of the results of empirical studies and structural-functional analysis of pedagogical and psychological interventions were used. The study is based on the analysis of scientific sources with an emphasis on the study of the diffusion of responsibility, social comparison and fear of evaluation as the main factors in the manifestation of passivity in sports teams. Results: it was found that the bystander effect in team sports is manifested through three main mechanisms: diffusion of responsibility (equal distribution of responsibilities between participants), social comparison (focus on the behavior of more experienced players) and fear of evaluation (anxiety about possible mistakes and negative reactions of the team). The effectiveness of a comprehensive approach to overcoming this phenomenon has been revealed, including four main areas: the formation of clear roles and areas of responsibility, systematic provision of feedback with video analysis of game episodes, psychological preparation with the development of emotional regulation skills, and strengthening team cohesion through targeted group activities. The key principles of practical implementation have been defined: the introduction of training with fixed roles, the creation of situations for the development of individual initiative, structured feedback and an integrative approach to psychological support for athletes. Conclusion: the conducted theoretical analysis has shown the multifactorial nature of the bystander effect in team sports, requiring complex pedagogical and psychological influence. The priority areas of practical application are identified: development of individualized programs for distributing role functions, improvement of feedback systems using modern video analysis technologies, implementation of specialized psychological trainings for developing confidence and initiative, and formation of a stable team identity through strengthening interpersonal relationships in the team. The results of the study can be used by coaches and sports psychologists to develop methodological programs aimed at increasing individual activity and team effectiveness in team sports.

Methodological aspects of using sports games to optimize physical education for university students
Abstract
the article describes the optimization of physical education for students based on the use of sports games, which help to develop not only physical qualities, but also psychological ones. The rational structure of physical education classes using sports games will improve the quality of the physical education process and affect the social adaptation of students in today's society, where there is a lack of communication between students due to various gadgets. The purpose of this study is to improve the quality of professional and applied physical training for university students by using effective exercises from team sports that help improve their physical and psychological fitness. The participating students in our study were divided into three groups after a survey was conducted with them, depending on the section they chose (volleyball, basketball, and general physical training). The testing data at the beginning of the year showed certain shortcomings in physical and psychological readiness, which needed to be addressed in the sections that the students had chosen. The general physical training section was held outdoors (provided the weather was favorable) and in the university's gymnasium. It primarily focused on exercises that developed basic physical qualities, with a strong emphasis on strength training. In the volleyball and basketball sections, in addition to exercises for the development of general and special physical qualities, specialized game exercises and psychophysical exercises were used. Repeated testing showed positive changes in the test results.
