Critical thinking as the essence of journalistic professionalism

Lin T.

Abstract

the article examines the problem of the essential content of journalistic professionalism in the context of the modern Chinese media field, characterized by the contradiction between ideological and market imperatives. It is proved that the traditional understanding of professionalism as a set of ethical standards is insufficient. The aim of the study is to provide theoretical and empirical substantiation of the hypothesis that the core of professionalism is the spirit of critical thinking, which manifests itself in two practical dimensions: news sensitivity and professional judgment. The study is based on a mixed methodology. A quantitative survey of 450 Chinese journalists and 30 iАn-depth interviews was conducted. To assess the level of professionalism, a specially developed "Critical Thinking Index of a journalist" (ICTM) was used, as well as tests for news sensitivity and professional judgment. Statistical analysis methods, including correlation and regression analysis, were used to analyze the data. The results showed a strong positive correlation between the level of development of critical thinking and practical competencies, especially the ability to make professional judgments (r=0.87). It has been established that the presence of specialized journalistic education significantly increases the level of critical thinking and the ability to make a balanced judgment, while working in a competitive environment of commercial media to a greater extent develops news sensitivity. It is concluded that true professionalism is a complex system based on critical thinking. For its formation, it is necessary to purposefully develop not only the skills of journalists, but also the appropriate mental temperament, which should become the central task of university education.

The influence of social networks and online media on the distribution and change of medical terminology

Konnova O.V., Romanova I.V., Velichko D.I.

Abstract

media resources have a huge impact on the formation of the worldview of a modern person. The international information network is the main source of information and provides an opportunity to exchange this information to a wide range of people, as well as express their opinion on any issue and share their own experience. Medical problems are the most pressing. Health problems are the subject of active discussion in social networks. This article analyzes social networks and other media resources as a source of creation and distribution of medical terms, examines the mechanisms of information dissemination in social networks, the use of visual content as one of the most effective ways to influence the audience. The purpose of this study is not only to consider such processes, but also to assess the main ways of forming and changing medical terminology under the influence of the media sphere. Remote work, online consultations and other digital forms of communication contribute to these processes. The authors also examine some lexical units that have appeared in medical terminology over the past 5 years, identifying the main features and characteristics of these terms. The study compares classical medical terms that were formed on the basis of Greek and Latin, possessing such features as unambiguity, precision, independence from context, and modern terms that were formed, as a rule, on the basis of the English language, appeared under the influence of various social phenomena and do not meet the above-mentioned requirements. The authors highlight the main trends that lead to changes in medical terminology, such as changes in the meaning of words, growing synonymy and polysemy.

Language realization of an intertextual concept of «cultural and historical experience» in D. Hill's lyrics

Linnichenko S.I.

Abstract

the article is devoted to the problem of language representation of the intertextual concept in the lyrics of the modern British poet D. Hill. Various approaches to the phenomenon of intertextuality are explored, in particular, this phenomenon is considered in relation to interdiscoursivity, from the standpoint of conceptology, as well as from the point of view of the intertextual nature of human thinking in general. It is argued that intertextuality as a phenomenon of postmodern creativity is a cognitive practice based on the combination of various cultural layers, implemented through innovative linguistic means. As a result of intertextual cognitive practice, an intertextual concept is defined – a complex mental formation that includes numerous artistic meanings borrowed from various cultural spheres and acquiring new connections within a particular work due to a unique language realization. As a result of the analysis of D. Hill's lyrical texts, the intertextual concept of "cultural and historical experience" was revealed, expressed by unique author's means of different levels of language. As a result of the analysis of D. Hill's lyrical texts, the intertextual concept of "cultural and historical experience" was revealed. It is established that this concept is represented by such linguistic means as historical, cultural and animalistic reality; historical, geographical, literary, mythological and religious allusion; metaphor, as well as intertextual metaphor; paradox; quotation in Latin, including modified; stylization; stylistic contrast; anaphora; a stream of consciousness. Innovative linguistic means such as intertextual historical information and augmented allusion have been identified. The author comes to the conclusion that the leading ways of artistic expression of this intertextual concept are allusions, realities, as well as metaphors based on them. The other language tools act as additional to them.

Linguocultural aspects of neologisms and borrowings as a reflection of technological transformation and globalization in contemporary Russian society

Loginova N.V.

Abstract

amid intensive technological transformation and globalization, the Russian language is undergoing an active process of borrowing and neologization, which poses to researchers the challenge of a comprehensive analysis of these phenomena as markers of profound sociocultural shifts. The aim of this article is to identify the linguocultural aspects of lexical innovations, analyze their thematic structure, diffusion dynamics, mechanisms of semantic adaptation, and social perception in modern Russian society. An interdisciplinary approach was applied, including a corpus analysis of texts from online media and social networks (approximately 2 million word occurrences), content analysis, and sociolinguistic analysis. Based on a sample of 500 lexical units, their thematic distribution and source languages were examined. The usage dynamics of 20 key neologisms were tracked across three time slices (2015, 2020, and 2025) with the calculation of the index of frequency (IPM). The degree of semantic adaptation was measured using the introduced “Semantic Divergence Index” (SDI). Results showed the absolute dominance of Anglicisms (over 90 %) in key domains such as IT (41.38 % of all neologisms) and business and finance (28.16 %). Dynamic analysis revealed an exponential increase in frequency for lexemes reflecting fundamental social shifts (“remote work,” “to stream”) and a wave-like pattern for words related to short-term trends (“hype,” “blockchain”). Sociolinguistic analysis confirmed a pronounced generational gap in the use and perception of the new lexicon. Lexemes moving from specialized fields into general use undergo the greatest semantic transformation (SDI up to 0.83 for the word “toxic”). It is concluded that the borrowing process is a systemic reflection of globalization and is mediated by complex mechanisms of social and semantic adaptation. Language does not merely passively absorb new vocabulary but actively transforms it, embedding it into its own cultural code. The main factors determining a neologism’s fate are its connection to long-term social trends, the age of its speakers, and the semantic plasticity of the lexeme itself.

Comparative and contrastive analysis of the symbol "top-down" (based on the Russian and Chinese languages)

Ma L.

Abstract

this paper is devoted to the comparative analysis of the opposite symbol "top-down" in Russian and Chinese linguistics. The spatial image "top-down" is one of the most important universal images firmly fixed in the minds of the Chinese and Russian peoples. In line with linguistics, a symbol is a way of value, in which there is a landmark picture of the world in different cultures. Studies of symbolic images of trends reveal differences in ethnic assessment orientation and the characteristics of the mentality of the peoples being compared. This article includes examples of top-down units with similar and different cultural representations in Chinese and Russian.

Transformation of professional qualities of a journalist in the context of media convergence and globalization in China

Lin T.

Abstract

the article examines the transformation of the professional qualities of Chinese journalists in a new media era characterized by media convergence, globalization, and the complex interaction of political and economic fields. It is proved that the traditional role of a journalist as a "gatekeeper" of information is being blurred, which requires a radical rethinking of the concept of professionalism. The purpose of the work is to identify the current structure of professional competencies, identify existing deficits and identify ways to optimize them to meet the challenges of the modern media landscape. The study is based on a mixed methodology that includes a questionnaire survey of 500 Chinese journalists and 30 in-depth interviews with editors and experienced media staff. Professionalism was assessed on three key dimensions: traditional skills, digital competencies, and ethical attitudes. Statistical processing methods, including t-test and correlation analysis, were used to analyze the data. The analysis revealed a significant imbalance in the structure of professionalism: with a high self-assessment of traditional skills (writing) and ethical attitudes, there is a significant deficit in the field of digital and multimedia competencies. A "digital generation gap" has been established, where young journalists demonstrate a significantly higher level of mastery of new media, while work experience negatively correlates with digital skills. It is concluded that there is a structural deformation in professionalism that must be overcome through the integration of traditional values and new technologies. Optimization should be carried out by modernizing the journalism education system with an emphasis on the development of hybrid, universal competencies, where the ethical core is combined with fluency in modern digital tools.

Euphemism as a tool of manipulative strategy in Spanish news discourse

Anisimova A.A.

Abstract

the article deals with the communicative and pragmatic features of euphemisms in modern Spanish news discourse. The study systematizes and describes linguistic means of euphemization used within the manipulative strategy in television news broadcasts. Previous studies were primarily carried out using the written type of discourse, which guarantees the originality of this article and its relevance for scholars who study media discourse. The analysis is based on a corpus of euphemisms extracted from daytime news programs aired by three Spanish television networks: RTVE, Antena 3 and Telecinco. The article categorizes and systematizes the empirical data, as well as explores morphological, syntactic, lexical and stylistic means used as euphemistic substitutions in TV news. The analysis reveals that the dominant communicative tactics facilitated by euphemisms are obfuscation and paralipsis. The pervasive use of euphemistic resources is caused by the genre-specific, linguistic, and pragmatic features of TV news, including its informational, regulatory and persuasive functions: appealing to mass audiences’ emotions, predominance of oral-literary norms, partially prepared speech and tight timeframes. The materials and conclusions of this study may be useful to Spanish language researchers, as well as researchers in linguistic pragmatics and discourse theory.

The use of metaphors in media texts of sports Telegram channels

Krylova D.G.

Abstract

the article examines how tropes are used in sports telegram channels' media texts and how they influence the audience's perception of the information agenda. The study's empirical basis is a corpus of media texts built from posts of two sports Telegram channels, which differ in their genesis. Posts of the 2DROTS telegram channel were used to build the corpus. 2DROTS telegram channel evolved from a group chat on a social network due to the initiative of two players of amateur football teams, who eventually became anchor bloggers of the channel. Social media will refer to media with this origin. Another source for the formation of the corpus were posts from the MATCH TV telegram channel, which is a development of the traditional media of the same name on the Telegram platform and is conducted by professional journalists of the channel. We will define this type of media as internet-media. It was noted that a statistically significant predominance of the use of metaphors over other tropes is observed only in social media, whereas in internet media such a predominance is observed only in relation to the use of irony and litotes. The chances of using tropes in the compared telegram channels are statistically indistinguishable. However, based on a linguistic comparison of media texts, it was concluded that the tropes used in social media are of less quality in literary terms to those observed in online media. This fact does not affect the degree of approval of posts using language; approval in social media is significantly higher than in online media.

From the history of the study of speaking verbs of the Russian and English languages

Rabadanova L.N.

Abstract

the article discusses the issues of studying speaking verbs in Russian and English. Speaking verbs are widespread in these languages. The peculiarity of the verbs of this group is that they more often than the verbs of other groups acquire the meaning of speech as a result of the transfer of the main direct meanings. The content of speech is the most important component of the verbs of speaking. And in its most general form, this category is characteristic to some extent of all verbs of speech. A number of scientists, studying the verbs of speaking, are engaged in classifying these verbs according to semantic-functional, structural-constituent features. Various groups are distinguished among the verbs of speaking. They indicate the possibility of intertwining values within these groups. The conducted research highlights the existence of a similar thematic focus in the two languages. These works provide a variety of lexico-semantic, structural-grammatical and functional-stylistic classifications of these verbs. It is noted that there is a need for further in-depth consideration of them both in a separate Russian and in terms of comparison with English and other languages.

Isyangulova G.A., Ganeeva R.M., Sagitova A.G.

Abstract

in the study of the cultural connotation of phraseological vocabulary, special attention is paid to phraseological units containing zoonymic elements, as they occupy an important place in the system of the national language and culture. This is due to the significant role that zoonymic elements traditionally play in the formation and development of the "linguistic personality," as well as in reflecting the cultural values, worldview, and historical experience of the people. Their active and diverse use in fiction, journalism, various types of aphorisms, and everyday communication demonstrates the deep connection between language and culture, as well as the richness of figurative means of expression. This article provides a detailed analysis of the zoonymic phraseology of the Bashkir language. This layer includes a wide range of expressions based on the comparison of humans with animals and birds, making it one of the most common forms of linguistic nomination worldwide. Through these comparisons, humans have come to understand their environment, their nature, and their place in the world, as well as their own identities.

Interpretation of Japanese anime in Russian media as a phenomenon of cross-cultural communication

Zhao P.

Abstract

the article is devoted to the theoretical analysis of the interpretation of Japanese anime in Russian media as a phenomenon of intercultural communication. The study identifies key vectors of media representation: cultural interpretation of the "Japaneseness" of the content, commercial and entertainment reduction to a mass product, critical and evaluative analysis of artistic and ethical aspects, as well as practices of adaptation and hybridization that generate new meanings at the intersection of cultures. A set of determining factors is identified, including the historical and cultural context of Russian-Japanese relations, institutional characteristics of the media, professional competence of journalists and the interaction of global trends with local realities. It is proven that Russian media act as an active agent in the construction of intercultural interaction, transforming a foreign cultural product through the prism of national discourse. The scientific novelty of the work lies in the systematic consideration of the media interpretation of anime as a constructive practice that forms a unique “Russian” reading. The results contribute to the theory of cultural transfer and media discourse, and also have practical significance for journalism and cultural policy.

Basic comparison of phraseological units containing components of animal origin in the phraseology of different languages of English, Russian and Chinese

Chen J.

Abstract

proverbs are the essence of national thought, they are both linguistic and cultural phenomena. By analyzing the similarities and differences among Chinese, British, and Russian proverbs, it is evident that they share similarities in origin, structure, and function, but also differ due to geographical factors, religious beliefs, and values. Take comparative phrases containing animal images as an example, these three languages have similar images and cultural connotations; Same image, different cultural connotations; Different images have the same cultural connotations; There are four situations where the image and cultural connotations are completely different. There are also significant differences in the ethnic cultural connotations reflected and manifested by animal images. Comparative research on this is not only helpful for learning Chinese and Western languages and cultures, but also conducive to the smooth progress of cross-cultural communication.

Representation of the concept “tree” in popular science text (based on metaphorical models)

Boduleva A.R.

Abstract

the article attempts to describe the ways of verbalizing the concept TREE through metaphorical models in popular science text. The study is relevant in the context of popularization of the scientific text, authors use expressive means in order to expand the circle of readers. The problematic of the work is to identify metaphorical models of the concept TREE in the work “Language, Cognition, and Human Nature: Selected Articles” by Steven Pinker (2013). In methodological terms, the study is based on a comprehensive pragmatic-discursive analysis taking into account the pragmatic and discursive aspects of the text. The main attention is paid to the methods of verbalization of the concept TREE, decoding the contextual use of metaphors. As a result of the analysis, metaphorical models of the concept TREE were identified and described: “similarity in form”, “similarity in functions”, “semantic tree”, “syntactic tree”. The outcome of the study indicates that metaphors associated with trees serve as a powerful means of expressing complex emotions, ideas and concepts. The analysis showed that in the work of Steven Pinker, the concept TREE is represented by the lexical units “tree”, “branch”, “twig”, “root”, “trunk”, which are used metaphorically. S. Pinker’s metaphors that create a vivid image for conveying complex ideas, cultivate the correct attitude to nature.

Uzhegova E.N.

Abstract

the article describes the process of concept formation (using the example of the concept AMERICA) as an element of the linguistic worldview of a native Russian speaker. Objective: to present the qualitative characteristics of a concept in the form of a multi-level information system reflecting their development as a natural evolutionary process of acquiring new qualities. The research hypothesis: identifying the patterns of the evolutionary process of a concept based on its linguistic explication and presenting these patterns in the form of an information model will make it possible to identify the qualitative characteristics of the phenomenon under study, as well as to describe it. Methods: etymological analysis, cognitive-semantic analysis, content analysis, system-categorical method of “Finite information flow". Results: the semantic development of the lexeme AMERICA is defined and described, the stages of the evolutionary development (logical levels) of the concept are identified and consistently presented, allowing it to be identified as a unit of thought; a model of the evolution of the concept as an information system using the “logical level” parameter is constructed and described. Conclusions: as a result of the research, an information model has been developed that reflects the process of concept evolution and reveals the essence of the concept, which serves as the basis for further research on the mechanisms of concept formation as a phenomenon, determining the conditions for effective management of its development. Areas of applicability of the results: research programs for the study of the structure of concepts, their classification or typologization in the system-categorical aspect. The proposed model can serve as a tool in the implementation of practical activities – the purposeful design of a certain concept in the linguistic consciousness of a native speaker of Russian culture.

Features of the translation of Chinese realities into Russian (using the example of political discourse)

Borodina M.A., Kang Y.

Abstract

translating Chinese realities is one of the most difficult tasks in the field of intercultural communication, especially in light of the specifics of the Chinese language and culture. This study is devoted to the peculiarities of translating Chinese realities into Russian using the example of speeches by Chinese President Xi Jinping. The purpose of this work is to identify the main problems that arise when translating Chinese cultural and political terms, identify methods to overcome them, and develop recommendations for improving the quality of translations of Chinese political speech. The study was conducted on the basis of an analysis of Xi Jinping's official speeches published on the official website of the Chinese government and in the Russian-language source "Xi Jinping on Public Administration." The authors presented a brief review of the literature on translating realities into Russian and came to the conclusion that when translating realities in political discourse, one of the main tasks is to preserve and convey the flavor of the country, while ensuring the accuracy and conciseness of the translation. This is due to the need to convey the cultural specifics reflected in the names of historical events, geographical features and traditions that shape the perception of the source text by the target audience. The analysis showed that the main difficulties in translation are the cultural distance between China and Russia, the ambiguity and metaphor of Chinese vocabulary, as well as differences in the political style of the two countries. The most significant problems were identified in the translation of political terms, historical and cultural allusions, as well as stylistics and imagery. The authors noted that many Chinese political concepts are difficult to translate unambiguously, as they carry deep historical and ideological overtones that are absent in Russian culture. Moreover, Chinese political speech is often saturated with references to historical events and classics of the Chinese previous experience, which requires a deep understanding of the historical context. It was also revealed that the Chinese political language is characterized by a high degree of imagery and metaphor, which creates difficulties in maintaining stylistic accuracy and emotional coloring of the text. Thus, the conducted research allowed to identify the key features of the translation of Chinese realities into Russian and to offer practical recommendations for improving the quality of translation activities.

Investigation of the practical effect of applying the concept of equivalence in linguistic school translation theories – using the example of “Lunyu”

Guan L.

Abstract

at the intersection of linguistics and translation studies, key representatives of the Western linguistic trend in translation theory – Roman Jakobson, John Catford, Eugene Nida, and Peter Newmark – explained the concept of translation equivalence from different perspectives. However, differences in emphasis on equivalence components lead to different effects in translation practice when applying different theoretical approaches. In this article, using the example of various translations of “Lunyu” (“Conversations and judgments”) through the analysis, the effects of four types of translation equivalence are revealed: the effect of information balance, the effect of preserving meaning during the transformation of form, the effect of cultural adaptation, and the effect of expressing the author’s intention taking into account the interests of the reader. The purpose of the study is to suggest ways to apply translation theories and further explore the concept of equivalence.

The refutation of pseudoscientific discourse in early XVIII century Russian publicistic prose (a case study of «Historical, Genealogical, and Geographical Notes on the Vedomosti»)

Morozov R.P.

Abstract

this study focuses on the material «On Alchemy» published in the Historical, Genealogical, and Geographical Notes on the Vedomosti and investigates the strategies employed in early 18th-century Russian publicistic discourse to challenge pseudoscientific knowledge claims. The analysis of the text – whose stated aim was to acquaint readers with available evidence regarding the practices of alchemists – demonstrates a wide repertoire of argumentative techniques directed against fabricated or spurious data. These include rational procedures such as direct refutation, appeal to more authoritative sources, use of counterexamples, reductio ad absurdum, demonstration of contextual incongruity, and source criticism, as well as socio-moral strategies, notably appeals to ethical norms and values, and the use of contrastive oppositions.

Transmission and reception of contemporary Russian pop culture in the Commonwealth of Independent States

Zhang B., Wan T.

Abstract

this article provides a comprehensive analysis of the processes of transmission and reception of contemporary Russian pop culture in the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS). The author examines the key channels and mechanisms for the dissemination of cultural products, including digital platforms, media, and film distribution. Particular attention is paid to factors contributing to its popularity, such as a shared historical and cultural past, linguistic proximity, and nostalgic narratives. At the same time, the article examines barriers to reception, in particular the growth of national identity and the politicization of cultural space. In conclusion, the paper draws a conclusion about the dual role of Russian pop culture: it acts as an instrument of soft power and maintenance of a common cultural field, as well as an object for the formation of a new national identity in the CIS countries.

Paratextualuty specifics in modern English prose

Lomakina I.N.

Abstract

the aim of the current research is revealing of the functional and generic specifics of paratext in modern English detective novel. By means of R. Galbraith’s, L. Clarke’s and S. Durrant’s prose analysis it has been found out that such elements of paratext as a heading and epigraphs not only perform introductive, informative and dialogizing functions, but also serve as a means of characterization (Cormoran Strike’s erudition, Owen Quine’s vindictiveness and Verity Baxter’s mental disorders). Paratext possesses multifunctionalty depending on the author’s creative intention. In R. Galbraith’s novels quotes from classical ancient Roman and ancient Greek works, those of Elizabethan drama and rock-band’s lyrics are used as epigraphs. In L. Clarke’s novel epigraphs have a metafictional character, as they are quotes of this very novel’s heroine. S. Durrant uses dictionary definitions and a list of items that were found by the main character as epigraphs. The study of paratext’s types and functions in modern literature by means of complex approach seems to be promising, as it will enable us to look from a different angle at the nature of fiction, to ananlyze the specificity of paratextual elements perception by readers.

Sociolinguistic interpretation of the retention of labial palatalized assimilation before velar consonants in the speech of Saratov residents

Solovyeva A.A.

Abstract

the article complements the interpretation of data described in a previously conducted study. It examines the results of a 2025 study on the phonetic phenomenon of palatal assimilation of labial consonants before velar consonants in the speech of Russian-speaking residents of Saratov. The research object is the retention of various phonetic variants in modern Russian, and the subject is the reasons for the retention of this phenomenon in the Saratov regiolect. The aim of the work is to explain the retention of assimilation from a sociolinguistic perspective. The article analyzes some existing linguistic and sociolinguistic interpretations of this phenomenon, identifies contradictions with traditional theories (such as Optimality Theory), and formulates new explanations based on the concepts of social indicators and the additional distribution of non-assimilated forms in the more popular norm variant and assimilated forms. Special attention is paid to the influence of social identity and the historical prestige of phonetic forms as factors affecting the retention of palatal assimilation in the studied region. The study results confirm the importance of the sociolinguistic approach for understanding the mechanisms of preserving regional linguistic features in variants of modern Russian literary language.

Specifically, it focuses on the concepts “Russia” and “the UK”, as well as “people”, which reflect national and cultural aspects of political communication in these countries. The analysis is based on an extensive corpus of official speeches delivered by diplomats. The aim of this study is to examine the semantic differences in these concepts and their role in shaping diplomatic narratives. To achieve this, the research employs a combination of methods, including quantitative analysis of lexical frequency, qualitative analysis of contextual usage, and comparative analysis of conceptual representations. The findings of the research reveal significant disparities in the semantic content of the studied concepts. Russian discourse favors collectivist values and national sovereignty, while British discourse emphasizes individual rights and international cooperation. These findings indicate fundamental differences in how key political concepts are conceptualized, reflecting the contrast between multipolar and universalist approaches to international relations. These results are significant for the fields of political linguistics and international relations theory, as well as for the practice of cross-cultural communication. They open up opportunities for further comparative analyses of diplomatic discourses from various countries.

Omarova Z.S.

Abstract

the poetry of Rasul Gamzatov, for all its philological and philosophical significance and scale in the linguistic and linguistic-cultural aspects, has not been sufficiently studied. In the cultural heritage of Dagestan, an important place is occupied by the artistic heritage of the outstanding poet Rasul Gamzatovich Gamzatov, whose name is known not only in Russia, but also in many countries. The creative work of the writer from the literary standpoint has repeatedly become the object of research, but the features of his language, which laid the phenomenal, on the one hand, and traditionality, on the other, was not the object of linguistic analysis. Especially important is the study of the components of his linguistic personality, which reveal the author's individuality. In this study, attention will be focused on the expressive means by which the individual features of his idiostyle are formed. In particular, in this article we consider the substantive repetition and identify its functions in the poetic work of the author Gamzatov. This type of repetition, presented in the poetic texts of the author, supports the rhythm of the poems, increases the semantic load of the keywords of the poetic text. Poetic works written in the native Avar language by Rasul Gamzatov confirm the richness of language resources and the ability to create with their help texts of different genres and different depths: from everyday narratives to philosophical reasoning. The author masterfully uses language capabilities and at the same time brings his own special words and constructions that make him a recognizable, unique writer.

Baldina Z.A.

Abstract

in the context of digital transformation and high competition in the market for entrepreneurial services, soft skills are becoming increasingly significant as a factor in competitiveness. This article analyzes the level of key soft skills among Russian entrepreneurs and explores the potential of universities in their development. The study is based on the empirical survey conducted by M.A. Lukashenko and E.V. Alekseeva (2024) involving 360 Russian entrepreneurs, along with a review of academic publications and continuing education practices. The research identifies the most important soft skills for entrepreneurs (communication management, decision-making, customer focus, critical thinking), reveals that their actual level of development is significantly lower than their perceived importance, and shows that self-education is the main source of skill formation. The study concludes that universities are not sufficiently active in this area, despite having great potential. The author proposes recommendations for improving continuing education programs for entrepreneurs, emphasizing practical orientation, industry specificity, and digital integration. The findings can be used to design targeted educational programs aimed at enhancing entrepreneurial competitiveness and strengthening Russia’s entrepreneurial potential.

Film adaptation for acquaintance with works of art content

Melnikova K.A., Melnikova A.V.

Abstract

The emergence of cinema has become the reason that in modern society books are often perceived through the prism of cinema culture. The relevance of this study is due to the prevailing popularity of cinema over literary works at the present time. The purpose of the work is to determine the possibility of choosing a form of acquaintance with an original work of fiction (book, play, etc.) by watching its film adaptation (film, TV series, etc.). The main method of research was comparative analysis. Research hypothesis: currently, teenagers prefer watching a movie to reading books in order to familiarize themselves with a work of fiction, therefore it is necessary to determine whether the content, plot and characters of the main characters of the film adaptations of works of art correspond to their primary sources. The object of the research is the literary work of W. Shakespeare “Romeo and Juliet” (translated printed version) and film adaptations of the work in 1936, 1968 and 1996. According to the results of the study, the main characteristics of the artwork and its film adaptations coincide. Thus, watching a film adaptation of a work of art can be used to familiarize yourself with the original work. However, it has been established that film adaptations and printed versions of works of fiction have some differences. This circumstance gives us the right to recommend to interested readers familiarization with the original work of fiction in addition to its film adaptations for a more complete and correct understanding of the author's intention and the formation of their own point of view on the problems of the work of art. We believe that the results of this study can be used as an aid in the formation and modification of educational and methodological programs in the discipline “Literature”, “World Literature”, etc.

Kritskaya T.A.

Abstract

this study is devoted to the urgent problem of the formation of coherent speech in 5-year-old children with mental retardation. The incomplete development of coherent speech significantly limits the cognitive and social development of the child, making it difficult for him to adapt to society. The aim of the study is to substantiate the methodology for the diagnosis of coherent speech in children with ASD using the innovative method of bioenergoplasty, which reveals the relationship between speech and cognitive functions in order to determine the priority areas of correctional work. The study used standardized methods for assessing articulatory motor skills, facial muscles, dynamic practice and coherent speech, as well as articulatory gymnastics with elements of bioenergetics. The results showed that the majority of children demonstrated a low and average level of coherent speech development, experiencing difficulties with retelling due to insufficient logic and coherence of statements. Despite this, phonemic perception in most children was preserved, there were some successes in fine motor skills and oral speech perception. The use of bioenergoplasty has revealed additional opportunities to improve speech abilities in children with ASD. Joint movements and speech had a positive effect on the sound quality, coordination and expansion of the active vocabulary. The data obtained confirm the prospects of using bioenergoplasty in the complex speech therapy correction of ASD, allowing for more effective identification of individual areas of correctional work.

The concept and definition of the concept "sustainable worldview" in the framework of category-system methodology

Klyushnikova E.A.

Abstract

in the modern world, alcohol and tobacco are perceived by people as a normal phenomenon. The worldview of modern adolescents and adults allows for the idea of the naturalness of self-poisoning with these poisons, despite the available knowledge about the harmful effects. And this problem requires a theoretical understanding. In educational institutions designed to prevent bad habits, most of the activities carried out are aimed at minimizing the level of involvement in the use of psychoactive substances. As a rule, when conducting these events, the ideological foundations of the emergence of pro-alcohol or sober beliefs are not affected. The issues of forming a sober worldview are poorly understood and require a scientific approach in theoretical understanding, since this is an important aspect of pedagogical and psychological work with students. The emergence of the pedagogy of sobriety to a new ideological level necessitated the development of a conceptual and terminological apparatus of the theory of sobriety, eliminating ambiguity and ambiguity when using certain terms in pedagogical support of the process of forming a sober worldview. The objectives of this study were to develop the concept and definition of a “sober worldview”. The author's understanding of the concept of “sober worldview” is proposed, formulated using a semantic method. The definition of the concept of a sober worldview was formulated using a categorical-systematic methodology using the method of “Formal-logical definition of the concept” based on the idea of triadicity. The significance of this work lies in the development of the conceptual framework of the subject area of the pedagogy of sobriety, which allows not only a more conscious approach to the organization and conduct of measures to prevent bad habits, but also to increase the effectiveness of these measures.

Evaluation of residual level of physics knowledge among first-year students of transport university

Shcherbinina M.A., Pakhomov E.A.

Abstract

the article is devoted to the problems of assessing the residual knowledge of physics in first-year students of regional transport universities. A survey was conducted among first-year students who entered the Siberian State University of Water Transport (SSUWT) in 2024. A total of 100 students took part in the study. The questionnaire included 25 questions related to basic physical concepts and laws that are necessary for successful study of the physics course at the university in the technical areas of training of transport universities. It was found that the students participating in the survey coped with an average of only 23% of the tasks related to basic physical concepts and laws. Most of the respondents encountered great difficulties in answering fairly simple questions related to such topics as torque, power, electric current, magnetic field and the law of conservation of charge. The results of the study confirmed the need to revise approaches to teaching physics in universities. It is recommended to introduce additional entrance control in physics and other natural science disciplines, as well as to develop individual learning paths that take into account the level of residual knowledge of first-year students. To increase motivation, it is proposed to hold popular science events and competitions related to physics. To strengthen interdisciplinary links, it is envisaged to involve teachers of special disciplines in the development of joint teaching aids with physics teachers. It is expected that the proposed measures will compensate for the lack of school knowledge in physics and increase students' motivation to study it.

Artificial intelligence in learning a foreign language as a humanitarian discipline: threats and prospects

Zudaeva V.V., Sharmanova O.S., Melnikov D.D.

Abstract

this article discusses artificial intelligence in humanitarian education. It is impossible to deny that in the modern world artificial intelligence is being introduced into all spheres of human activity, from optimizing the work of various enterprises to the education system. Artificial intelligence is a promising tool in the field of education, but its functions are often abused by both students and scientists. Nevertheless, it should be noted that artificial intelligence is a modern industry that has its own prospects and threats. Learning foreign languages is traditionally associated with interpersonal interaction, cultural exchange and the development of communication skills. Humanities disciplines value the uniqueness of cultural contexts, nuances of language practice, and interpersonal interaction. The use of artificial intelligence in learning foreign languages is a dual process: on the one hand, it opens up new horizons for improving the efficiency, accessibility and interactivity of learning; on the other, it raises concerns about the loss of humanitarian values, interpersonal ties and cultural wealth. The most important task of modern education is to find a balance between technological innovation and the preservation of the humanitarian aspects of linguistic and cultural development. This is the only way to ensure the harmonious development of humanities in the digital age.

Current issues of subsidiary liability (in insolvency (bankruptcy) cases) subjects of civil law relations who benefit from the illegal or unscrupulous behavior of persons specified in paragraph 1 of Article 53.1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation

Safin T.I.

Abstract

in this article, the author examines the problem of distinguishing beneficiaries who unlawfully assisted in the withdrawal of assets of an insolvent debtor from those who lawfully benefited from such benefits. The difficulties of proof, the excessively concise regulation of this issue in the legislation and the abstract explanations of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation create a situation for bona fide participants in the turnover of the impossibility of fulfilling the burden of proof and legal uncertainty. The low percentage of enforceability of judicial judgments on debt collection and the need to respect the rights of law-abiding subjects of civil law relations require finding a fair balance between the interests of creditors of an insolvent debtor and those persons who "benefit" from transactions with him.

Enshrining the right to higher education in the constitutions of the BRICS countries: features and comparative analysis

Baranov D.A.

Abstract

the article is devoted to the analysis of the constitutional enshrinement of the right to higher education in the BRICS countries. A comparative examination of the norms of national constitutions allows us to identify both common features and differences in approaches to regulating this area. This perspective of the study makes it possible to trace how states determine the place of higher education in the system of social rights and what legal mechanisms are used to ensure it. In the course of the work, three models of constitutional enshrinement of the right to higher education were identified, reflecting the specifics of the legal systems and historical features of each country. In a number of cases, constitutional provisions include measures of state support for education, which indicates recognition of its strategic priority. It is noted that most BRICS states declare their intention to provide free higher education in their constitutional norms. Such formulations indicate a desire to minimize social barriers and expand educational opportunities for broad sections of the population.

It has been established that the existing mechanisms for protecting the rights of co-owners, enshrined in the Civil Code of the Russian Federation, face serious practical difficulties and shortcomings. At the same time, key issues are highlighted, including the predominance of shared ownership of residential real estate and the need to increase the level of protection of participants in shared ownership. Thus, as possible solutions, it is proposed to establish a minimum share size, improve the mechanism of preferential acquisition and consolidate the majority principle of management of common property, which will increase the effectiveness of law enforcement and ensure reliable protection of the rights of co-owners. In conclusion, the abuse of the right in shared ownership is a complex problem, complicated by gaps in legislation and unfair actions of participants. To solve it, it is necessary to modernize the legal regulation, establish a minimum share size and introduce effective management mechanisms and pre-trial dispute resolution.
