A MODEL OF DEVELOPING A HEALTH-PRESERVING CULTURE AMONG FUTURE PRIMARY SCHOOL TEACHERS DURING PROFESSIONAL TRAINING
Abstract
The article substantiates the relevance of forming a health-preserving culture (HPC) in future primary school teachers as an integrative personal and professional quality necessary for fulfilling the tasks of maintaining and strengthening students’ health. Based on the analysis of domestic and international research, the study identifies the fragmentary nature of existing approaches, which are predominantly focused on cognitive or activity-based aspects of teacher training. The author’s model of HPC formation is presented, comprising four interconnected blocks: target, theoretical-methodological, content-procedural, and evaluative-resultative blocks, which ensure the development of motivational-value, cognitive, activity-related, and reflexive components. The methodological foundation of the model integrates cultural, axiological, competence- and product-oriented, personality-activity, and systemic approaches. The article also specifies organisational and pedagogical conditions that contribute to the implementation of the model: a value-enriched educational environment, practice-oriented training, methodological support, development of reflection, and a monitoring system. The implementation of the model ensures the formation of HPC in future primary school teachers and can be integrated into the system of lifelong teacher education.

FACTORS OF MENTAL AND PSYCHOLOGICAL HEALTH OF UNIVERSITY STUDENTS AS A SUBJECT OF SCIENTIFIC ANALYSIS

The importance of maintaining students’ psychological health involves not only studying the real picture of their physical and mental well-being, but also considering the factors that determine its maintenance and development. Students’ psychological health is determined by the influence of a large number of factors. Complex situations that arise in the educational process, personal experiences and disruptions in social interaction can affect students’ psychological stability and the effectiveness of their academic activities. Factors that adversely affect students’ psychological health include: those related to the educational process, physiological parameters of the individual, psychological parameters of the individual, and social aspects of life. The impact of negative factors leads to increased emotional stress, problems in interpersonal communication, and moral and value attitudes of students. The presence of factors that adversely affect students’ psychological health actualises scientific research in the field of maintaining and strengthening students’ psychological health. In this regard, it is important to develop in students not only the need for personal self-improvement, but also attitudes towards their health, including psychological health, as an enduring value.
