LINGUOCULTURAL AND LINGUOPRAGMATIC ASPECTS OF THE ORTHODOX CHRISTIAN COMEDIC DISCOURSE
Abstract
The article is dedicated to the study of linguocultural and linguopragmatic aspects of the Orthodox Christian comedic discourse. The article defines the concept of “Orthodox Christian comedic discourse”, and identifies the criteria for its classification. The linguocultural aspect of Orthodox Christian comedic discourse is illustrated by establishing and describing its main linguocultural archetypes elder, father, grandmother, etc. The linguopragmatic aspect of Orthodox Christian comedic discourse is based on the analysis of verbal and creolized texts (Internet memes and videos).



LINGUISTIC SPECIFIC FEATURES OF VERBALISATION OF EMOTIONS IN THE GERMAN-LANGUAGE AND RUSSIAN-LANGUAGE AUDIO DESCRIPTION FOR FEATURE FILMS
Abstract
The article analyses the linguistic ways of objectifying emotions and feelings of the characters in feature films in audio description, which is considered as a mechanism compensating for the lack of access to visual information for recipients with visual impairments. The analysis is carried out on the material of Russian- and German-language feature films in the genre of “lyrical comedy” and “drama.” As a result of the analysis, it was found that German- and Russian-language audio description texts differ on the lexical-stylistic and grammatical-syntactic levels. The models of conveying emotive information in audio description are identified as well.



PREPOSITIVE ATTRIBUTIVE DEFINITIONS FOR DETERMINER COMPLEX NOUNS ACCORDING TO THE “NOUN + NOUN” MODEL
Abstract
The article examines typical ways for the modern German language to express prepositive attributives to determinative compounds formed according to the “noun + noun” model, which is the most common way to expand the vocabulary of the German language and forms a single whole in combination with prepositive attributives. The structure, functions, and meaning of prepositive attributives are analyzed, and their significance for the expressive and semantic aspects of the text is noted.



SEMANTIC STRUCTURE OF THE LEXICAL UNITS WITH THE DERIVATIONAL BASIS -BüRGERIN THE EARLY NEW HIGH GERMAN LANGUAGE
Abstract
The article reveals the semantic structure of the lexical units with the derivational basis -bürger- in the Early New High German language and traces the transformation of their semantics based on lexicographic sources and corpus data. The relevance of the article is determined by the need to study semantic transformations of derived units from the historical perspective and by the analysis of linguistic and extralinguistic reasons thereof.



FEATURES OF NOTION "LEGENDA" IN FRENCH GEOGRAPHICAL MAPS OF THE 16TH CENTURY (BASED ON THE MAPS OF ANDRÉ THEVET)
Abstract
The article examines the features of the notion "legenda" of French-language geographical maps of the 16th century using the example of André Thevet’s maps. The textual and symbolic elements of the maps are analyzed, and the specifics of their linguistic and cultural content are revealed. The author uses the method of observation and contextual analysis to show how the geographical and sociocultural ideas of the era are manifested through the legenda of maps. The main conclusions underline the role of Thevet’s maps as sources of linguocultural data that reveal the mentality and perception of the world in France in the 16th century.



MODELLING OF THE PERCEPTUAL IMAGE OF THE COMMUNICATIVE EVENT “CONFLICT” (ON THE MATERIAL OF AUDIO DESCRIPTION FOR FILMS AND TV SERIES)
Abstract
The article considers the model of perception of the communicative event "conflict" in audio description. The aim of the study is to identify different ways of filling terminals and slots of the event frame "conflict". In the course of the work, an experiment was conducted to consider the role of audio description in the construction of the perceptual image of the communicative event by blind (visually impaired) people. The main methods are the method of frame modelling, oral interview and questionnaire. The results of the study show the importance of the pragmatic approach to modelling the perceptual image of a communicative event in audio description.



STUDY OF THE ASSOCIATIVE FIELD СТРАХ / FEAR / ANGST
Abstract
The article is devoted to the comparison of the associative fields страх / fear / Angst based on the material of associative experiments conducted in 2023. The purpose of the article is to study fragments of Russian, German and American linguocultures on the example of the concepts страх / fear / Angst. An associative experiment was used as the main research method; the respondents were Russian, German and American students of 18-25 years old.



CONCEPTUALIZATION OF (UN-)FRIENDLY RELATIONSHIPS IN GERMAN-LANGUAGE VIRTUAL SPACE
Abstract
The article analyzes the linguistic means objectifying the core (notional component) and periphery (image and value components) of the concepts NETZFREUNDSCHAFT and HASS IM NETZ, presenting the ways of interpersonal interaction that appeared in the virtual communication. It is shown that fundamentally new forms of (un-)friendly relations and, as a result, new ways of their conceptualization have appeared in German-speaking linguoculture, which is reflected at the language level.



EXPRESSING AGGRESSION THROUGH EMOJI (BASED ON INTERNET COMMENTS)
Abstract
The purpose of the article is to analyze comments of an aggressive nature from the point of view of the emoji used in them taking into account both the context of such a comment and its social and public significance as well as the potential resonance that it can create in society. The relevance and novelty of the article are due to the fact that the sphere of emoji is not often found in linguistic research today, however, since from the standpoint of semiotics, a “smiley” is a sign containing certain linguopragmatic information, this sphere certainly generates interest for its further research.



COGNITIVE METAPHOR IN GERMAN SCIENTIFIC ECOLOGICAL DISCOURSE
Abstract
The article focuses on the cognitive metaphors functioning in German scientific ecological discourse. Based on the theory of the cognitive metaphor, scientific articles devoted to the climate change are analyzed from the point of view of cognitive linguistics. The author concludes that artefact metaphors dominate the scientific ecological discourse and that most metaphorical concepts under analysis are neutral. The climate is metaphorically represented as a mechanism, which is balanced and self-regulated.



LINGUISTIC REPRESENTATION OF HIDDEN EMOTIONAL STATES IN LITERARY NARRATIVE (ANALYSIS OF ‘A DAY`S WAIT’ BY E. HEMINGWAY)
Abstract
The article sets out to analyze the story "A Day’s Wait" by E. Hemingway to show that from a linguistic perspective, the so-called in literary criticism Iceberg story structure can be viewed as a textual opposition based on the contrast between the verbalized central event and a character’s hidden emotions about it. Methods of structural and narrative analysis applied to the narrator’s inner monologue, and contextual analysis applied to the dialogues, serve to reconstruct the inner fear that the main character experiences as a result of his illness. It is stressed that interpretation of literary works with the Iceberg structure involves the hermeneutic circle approach.



PROPER NAMES IN THE CORPORA OF CHINESE ELECTRONIC MEDIA (ENGLISH AND CHINESE)
Abstract
The original method of comparative analysis of proper names in the electronic media of the People's Republic of China in Chinese and English with the use of artificial intelligence technologies is being tested. It is concluded that the developed method allows to establish with a high degree of accuracy the frequency of proper names in a text array, as well as to form an idea of the thematic content of a news message with subsequent interpretation of its content.



VERBALIZATION OF VISUAL METAPHOR IN VICTOR PELEVIN'S NOVEL “JOURNEY TO ELEUSIS”
Abstract
The article is dedicated to the study of metaphorical ekphrasis in Victor Pelevin's novel “Journey to Eleusis”. Metaphorical ekphrasis is understood as a type of description in which metaphor plays a key role in creating a visual image and organizing the ekphrastic narrative. The research found that the fundamental conceptual metaphors of the novel are “life is a journey” and “life is a story”. By integrating these metaphors into a multi-layered narrative, Pelevin addresses the problem of self-identity in a world of human-AI interaction.



MEANS OF IMPLEMENTATION OF THE COMIC IN A MODERN SKETCH (BASED ON THE MATERIAL OF E. PETERFALVIS SPEECHES)
Abstract
The linguistic means of realizing the comic in the sketches of the popular German cabaret artist E. Peterfalvi (stage name Alphonse) are examined. The analysis of the material allowed us to identify the main features and ways of implementing the author's intention in the sketch genre. E. Peterfalvi's speeches are distinguished by attention to ethical issues, as well as to topics less traditional for humorous discourse. The analysis of the material revealed the peculiarities of the construction of the text (the effect of deceived expectations), its interdiscursivity, stylistic features (allusions, stylistic figures, intentional violations of the norm).



SYSTEM FOR INTEGRATING KNOWLEDGE IN TEXT FORMAT
Abstract
The paper presents biological background, theoretical considerations, algorithms and a brief description of a prototype system for integrating knowledge in text format. The purpose of the system is to create an environment for storing public knowledge that does not require rescaling caused by an increase in the volume of stored information and changes in its structure due to the dynamics of knowledge development, that is, the disappearance of old sections and the appearance of new ones. The system is represented as a hypertext and includes, in addition to the source texts, also a semantic network that characterizes the content of these texts.



THE ACTUAL CONTENT OF THE ANTI-VALUE "KORRUPTION“ IN GERMAN LINGUOCULTURE
Abstract
The purpose of this study is to determine the psychologically relevant content of the anti-value „Korruption“ in German linguoculture. The main stages of the study are the analysis of lexicographic sources, combinatory lexemes, as well as data from free and reverse associative experiments. The results indicate a sharply negative attitude towards corruption in society. Despite the fact that the experience of Germany's anti-corruption policy is highly appreciated on the world stage, the reactions of respondents indicate a high degree of corruption in political structures.



THE BINARY CONCEPTUAL OPPOSITION “GOVERNMENT - PEOPLE” IN ENGLISH AND GERMAN-LANGUAGE POLITICAL DISCOURSE
Abstract
The article focuses on identifying the lexemes representing the binary conceptual opposition “government - people” as a tool of speech influence in English- and German- language political discourse. The presented quantitative analysis of lexical units was undertaken using the LancsBox corpus manager. The significance of the results is seen in the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of linguistic measures aimed at counteracting the manipulative speech influence in political discourse.

SCIENTIFIC APPROACHES TO AUTOFICTION RESEARCH
Abstract
The article summarizes different views on the term «autofiction» from its first mention in 1977 to the present. The history, social and cultural reasons for the emergence of autofiction are presented. Scientific approaches to the study of autofiction as a modern literary and philosophical phenomenon, as well as its manifestation as a general cultural practice reflecting problems of self-identification, are highlighted.



THE SPACE OF MEMORY AND OBLIVION IN THE CREATIVE WORK OF A. BARBUSSE
Abstract
The article analyzes the early work of A. Barbusse, French author of the early twentieth century, and the role of the category of memory in the formation of his poetics. The analysis is carried out using biographical, comparative-typological, cultural-historical methods. The system of images of selected novels is analyzed; based on its dichotomous nature, the connection of the poles “individual - collective” with the categories of individual and collective memory is formulated.

THE ORIGINALITY OF THE CULTURE OF THE PEOPLE IN THE INTERPRETATION OF S. P. MAMONTOV: ON THE 100TH ANNIVERSARY OF HIS BIRTH
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of the work of S. Mamontov, whose 100th anniversary falls in 2023. The domestic scientist was one of the first founders of cultural studies as a science in Russia in the 90s of the twentieth century. The works by S. Mamontov propose approaches to the study of the uniqueness of the culture of peoples, and also trace the tradition of turning to the spiritual foundations of culture, which is significant for Russian philosophical thought.



THE PHENOMENON OF FRENCH GARDEN ART THROUGH THE PRISM OF LINGUOCULTUROLOGY
Abstract
The article proposes to explore in diachrony the phenomenon of garden art in France through the correlation of its language and culture. For a long time, experience accumulated in the national consciousness of the French, and in everyday life a living tradition of garden cultivation was created, which was enriched with the change of eras and aesthetic trends. Studying the theme of garden art in France, the author searches for and finds hidden linguocultural meanings and subtexts in which the specificity of the French national linguistic picture of the world is manifested and which help to determine the national character traits of the French.
