Resumo
The article focuses on identifying the lexemes representing the binary conceptual opposition “government - people” as a tool of speech influence in English- and German- language political discourse. The presented quantitative analysis of lexical units was undertaken using the LancsBox corpus manager. The significance of the results is seen in the possibility of increasing the effectiveness of linguistic measures aimed at counteracting the manipulative speech influence in political discourse.
