Named Entities in the Poetic World Picture (based on collected works by Joseph Brodsky)
摘要
In this article, the communicative rules and patterns governing the exchange of information within the complex system of poetry collections are identified, and how they influence the interaction between the author and the reader is explored. The focus is on the creation of a worldview that results from the interplay of individual interpretations and emotional experiences. Methods from the theory of concepts and paradigms are applied to analyze named entities in the poems of Joseph Brodsky. The developed model of poetic space-time allows for the exploration of the characteristics of poetics based on the interaction of subjective worldviews, aiding in the interpretation of the works. This study expands the understanding of the complexity of the interaction between the author and the reader in the process of communication mediated by a poetry collection.

Lexical and Semantic Modifications of Adjectives in the English-Language Court Discourse (an analysis of the words material and substantive)
摘要
The article under consideration focuses on the way the court discourse specificity influences the modification of the word semantics. In the course of a legal text interpretation an adjective acquires a meaning that is not fixed in the dictionary or that is less frequent in use. The purpose of the research under consideration is to identify the most frequent lexical and semantic modifications in the legal discourse. Analyzing the texts of the US Supreme Court rulings and relying heavily on discourse analysis and component analysis, the authors conclude that lexical and semantic modifications in the courtroom discourse more often result from narrowing or restriction of the meaning in the course of court interpretation practice and functional substitute technique while choosing an equivalent for a term in the target language.

Features of the Translation of Archaisms in Fiction Texts (based on French literature of the 20th century)
摘要
The purpose of this research is to analyze the basic techniques used by a translator to convey outdated words when translating a fiction text. The sources of the analysis are the novels of the writer B. Vian “Foam of Days” and “Autumn in Beijing”. The descriptive-analytical method, as well as comparative analysis and logical modeling method, are used during the study. The functions of archaisms in a fiction text are given, and various types of archaisms are highlighted. The authors note the importance of adequate translation of archaisms in a work of art. Searching for an equivalent, complete or partial, is the most accessible way of translating archaisms that conveys the author’s style. Using the example of translations of B. Vian’s works by L. Z. Lungina (“Foam of the Days,” 1983) and M. L. Anninskaya (“Autumn in Beijing,” 1997), the transfer of various types of archaisms, including historicisms, from French into Russian is analyzed. The authors come to the conclusion about the importance of the correct transmission of archaisms into a foreign language, and provides the most adequate methods for their translation.

Functional Syntax and the Concept of Syntactic Function: Approaches of Spanish Linguistic Schools
摘要
This study aims at examining the notion of function in the context of the views of the founders of the three largest functional syntax schools in Spain: the University of Oviedo, the University of Leon and the University of Santiago de Compostela. The analysis of the above-mentioned scholars’ theoretical papers made it possible to identify a significant homogeneity in the basic definition of syntactic function among Spanish linguistic associations. At the same time, significant differences were also found in the subsequent theoretical development of the initial definition and its synthesis with other functional-syntactic approaches, which allowed us to identify, in a given context, a general tendency to move from formal-structuralist concepts to functional-semantic and functional-pragmatic ones.
