Resumo
The article is devoted to the problem of translating the name of an action (masdar) from Arabic into Russian. Naming an action, masdar, like a verb, has a category of processality, i.e. it designates an action as a process, in its development and movement. Arabic-Russian dictionary usually does not give such meanings of masdar, in particular, and because of the lack of their equivalents in the Russian language. The meanings of masdars given in the dictionary usually correspond to their substantive variant. The article discusses various ways of translating masdar into Russian.
