Resumo
The article deals with the phenomenon of stylistic interference not in the traditional sense of language contact, but within the framework of the theory-hypothesis of linguistic spectrum and the frequency-typological model. The English popular science articles on physics, their translations into Russian and originally Russian works of 2016-2017 were taken for analysis. It concludes that stylistic alignment in translation is necessary as it brings the translated text in line with the tradition of the target language.
