Resumo
The article is a description of main phonetic features of theatrical pronunciation in French. An experimental phonetic study based on audit and comparative analyses revealed similarities and differences in the sound representation of plays created at different times. The main parameters of both the segmental level (pronunciation of a number of vowels and semi-vowels, the pronunciation of [ə] mute, the lengthening of consonant sounds, realization of liaison) and the prosodic level (timbre, melody, additional stress, pause) were considered, as well as their influence on the perception of the sounding text.
