Art Education as a Mechanism of Socialization and Inculturation in Modern Russia

This article is devoted to the problem of the development of art education (in this case we are talking about the initial stage of art education - children’s art schools) at the present stage. The author identifies the main problem vectors that require theoretical understanding and development of strategic and tactical solutions for the development of the art education system: the issue of cultural prerequisites and cultural foundations of the art education system, bringing to the fore the content of educational programs; the issue of cultural conformity of modern art education, compliance of learning outcomes with stated value orientations and certain directions of state cultural policy; the issue of strengthening the educational component of art education. The research is based on elements of a systems approach.
