Negative Politeness in German Online Communication on Reddit

Abstract

The article analyzes the strategies of negative politeness, as well as the verbal means of its implementation in German online communication on Reddit. Moreover, the author investigates the tactics of request, advice and their realization in posts and comments. The author indicates syntax, morphological, estimative and semantic phenomena with serve for implementation of negative politeness as social practices of Internet communication.
