Abstract
The article proposes an analysis of Italian verbal structures using the verb andare in order to classify them into one of the following categories: verbal paraphrases, pseudo-coordination or serial verbal constructions. After explaining the principles by which various constructions were researched and analyzed, we came to the conclusion that Italian verb constructions using the verb andare can be identified as verbal paraphrases or special cases of paratactic constructions.
