Translating Turkish Academic Paper Titles: Structural and Semantic Perspective

Abstract
The article deals with the Turkish scientific papers structure and characteristics, as well as the difficulties of their translation into English. We used the titles of the Turkish scientific articles from 2018 to 2022 with parallel translations into English. The results show that literal translation is not effective when the structure and semantics differ significantly from those of the English titles. Thus, complex transformations are required.
