Abstract
The article analyzes the use of Latin expressions by British prime ministers. The problem is that the meaning of these speech actions of politicians has not yet been studied. In the work the method of continuous sampling, contextual analysis, content analysis was used. The research is based on statements by politicians published in the Internet; the result is the interpretation of the Latin phrases of prime ministers, references to the history of Ancient Rome.
