Abstract
The article demonstrates the effectiveness of applying translation transformations in translating legal acts from Chinese into Russian. The aim of the study is to prove the validity of applying formal-semantic transformations of special lexicon to achieve adequacy in the translation of legal texts. The material of the study is Chinese administrative laws and key terms of administrative law. Arguing her position, the author establishes an algorithm for analyzing the units of the studied terms.
