Abstract
The article examines the image of a migrant based on the material of modern Russian-language literature on the example of three pieces of prose: “The Days of Savely” by Grigory Sluzhitel’ (2020), “The One Who Came” by Narine Abgaryan (2015) and “The Second Life of Uwe” by Fredrik Backman (2012). The migrant is presented as an individual endowed with positive qualities, having a somewhat strange appearance and ready to compromise with the locals. It is concluded that the image of a migrant is subjected to a rather high degree of romanticization.
