Abstract
The article analyses the linguistic ways of objectifying emotions and feelings of the characters in feature films in audio description, which is considered as a mechanism compensating for the lack of access to visual information for recipients with visual impairments. The analysis is carried out on the material of Russian- and German-language feature films in the genre of “lyrical comedy” and “drama.” As a result of the analysis, it was found that German- and Russian-language audio description texts differ on the lexical-stylistic and grammatical-syntactic levels. The models of conveying emotive information in audio description are identified as well.
