Abstract
The article is devoted to the problem of grammaticalization and bound name formation in Modern Korean. One of the mechanisms of grammaticalization is generalization of meaning. In the formation of Korean bound names from nouns, there may be a transition 1) from spatial to temporal meaning, 2) from concrete object to abstract, 3) from concrete object to abstract situation, 4) from concrete object to the expression of cause.
