Abstract
The article looks into the cases of ambiguity in legal texts including lexical and syntactic ambiguity. Ambiguity itself is an integral part of any language that can be traced at different levels: lexical, grammatical and syntactic. Avoidance of the abovementioned cases of ambiguity is possible through context which helps to lift the problem of misunderstanding and false interpretation of legal texts.
