Abstract
The article is devoted to the analysis of small forms of space in the essay «Species of space and Other pieces» written by G. Perec (Espèces d'espaces, 1974). The writer includes in the circle of elements under consideration the objects of the material world, which are usually not recognised as a separate type of space. It's a sheet of paper and a bed. In addition to these objects, small forms of space include the space of a room, which is often described in artworks. The room becomes one of the most significant type of space for the writer and reflects the worldview of a person. It is a storage of things that can remind some period of life ant it's very important for Georges Perec. He often mention the theme of human memory in his works. In the course of the study, we can conclude about the special role of each form of space.
