The article is devoted to the phenomenon of “play” in a children’s German-language Orthodox flyer. The article gives a communicative-pragmatic characteristic of a children’s Orthodox flyer (addressee, addresser, communicative goal), defines the communicative strategies used in it (catechetical-edifying and play), tactics and verbal and non-verbal means of their implementation. A game strategy is considered as a key one, which allows to convey knowledge about God to a children’s audience in an accessible and entertaining way.
