Abstract

The article reveals the concept of social constructivism, explores the scenario of small talk of English-speaking community, its features and main characteristics. The main characteristic feature of small talk is the concept of politeness and its verbal expression in the English-speaking environment. The small talk script has a full or partly ritualized nature in English language communication.
