A number of media articles on social issues published in Russian media from 2010 to 2020 have been selected for the analysis, the units for the analysis were conceptual metaphors. As a result of the subsequent interpretation of the data obtained, some information for the systematization of the most common spheres-sources of modern conceptual metaphor in the media articles on social topics have been collected. The authors came to the conclusion that the conceptual metaphor flows between the spheres.
