Abstract

The object of this comparative study is the use of the category of a person in the act of speech in French and Russian. The comparison is carried out in a pragmatic aspect, where the statement is considered as a reflection of the situation of speech. The theoretical significance of the approach lies in the fact that the emphasis in the comparison is not so much on system grammatical indicators as on usus, that is, the use of certain forms of a person in speech acts, both orally and in writing - in administrative, business and scientific styles.
