Abstract
The aim of the study is to analyze metaphorical models of occupational risk and responsibility in Arthur Haley’s production novels “Hotel”, “Wheels”, “Airport”, “Final Diagnosis”, “Money Changers”, where the concepts of “Risk” and “Responsibility” play a key role in revealing the characters’ characters, plot dynamics and the transmission of moral dilemmas. The work used component analysis, contextual analysis, descriptive method, discursive analysis, as well as the method of systematization and classification. It is proved that the concepts of “risk” and “responsibility” as a structural element of the narrative are manifested not only in plot collisions, but also in linguistic means, creating a multi layered artistic reality. Additionally, the specifics of translating professional metaphors related to leadership, decision-making, and crisis management are being studied.
