Teaching Stylistic Text Analysis as a Genre of an Academic Analytical Essay
Abstract
The aim of the article is to prove the relevance of teaching stylistic text analysis as a genre of written academic discourse, one of the most important elements of the academic literacy of a university student. Viewed as a means of developing learners’ receptive and productive competences, text analysis contributes to learning the conventions of the academic style essential for writing academic university papers and further professional intercultural communication.

Phonetic Errors in the Speech of Students at the Bachelor’s Thesis Defence: Their Communicative Implications and Correction Strategies
Abstract
The article identifies the most common phonetic errors in the speeches of students defending their bachelor’s theses. The phonetic analysis of the students’ speeches enables the authors to conclude that these errors occur at different levels of the phonetic system of the language and have a negative impact on the discursive structure of the students’ speech. To improve the students’ performance at the defence, the article offers a set of methodical recommendations.

Methods of Training in Translation
Abstract
This article proposes methods for teaching translation activities. Sociocultural, activity, contextual, reflexive, heuristic teaching methods are considered, due to different approaches to teaching translation at a university, various resources and means of teaching this complex activity are proposed. The methods proposed in the article make it possible to build an individual trajectory of teaching students of translation activity, depending on their personal characteristics and the speed of assimilation of the material.

Abstract
The publication aims at developing methodology for the formation of the economists’ professional skills based on interdisciplinary code switching: economics - mathematics - IT - English. It is admitted that the training of interdisciplinary code switching based on specially arranged language support contributes to the formation of more sustainable professional skills. The novelty of the research lies in the development of the theory of code switching and the formation of methodology for its use in interdisciplinary interaction.

Students Readiness to Design Their Own Educational Trajectory at the University
Abstract
The article is devoted to the study of students’ readiness to consciously choose the elements of their individual curriculum, and educational trajectory. The authors present the results of a survey of undergraduate students of the Institute of Linguistic and Pedagogical Education (LPE) of the National Research University (MIET), conducted in order to determine whether students are ready to act as autonomous co-authors of their own educational trajectories and curricula. The analysis of the results shows that not all students cope with the performance of these functions, and there is a need for systemic formation of students’ ability to make conscious choice of the target, content, and technological aspects of their education.

International Translation Projects as a Means of Improving the Translator’s Professional Competence
Abstract
The article deals with the methodology of organizing an international translation project in line with the functional approach. The stages of the project and the components of the developed competencies are described, the source text (ST) and translation text (TT) analysis are presented. The research material is seven articles by the German translator Ch. Nord and their translations into Russian. The presented methodology of the project organization can be used as a basis for future translators to master other approaches to the translation of text genres.

Abstract
The paper is devoted to further development of foreign language training in non-linguistics universities under the influence of the Forth Industrial Revolution. The Forth Industrial Revolution causes Industry 4.0, that requires corresponding Education 4.0 and foreign language training system as its component. The paper describes the main problems for foreign language teaching and shows that their solution is connected with the situation of uncertainty and the necessity of forecasting activity.

Abstract
The article includes a theoretical and methodological analysis of the ideas supporting interactive teaching foreign languages to International Relations students. The author states that international relations are based on dialogue with different cultures and different political interests, which should determine the choice of a teaching method. Analyzing different conceptions of dialogue, the author concludes that interactive teaching develops the necessary skills in the most effective way.

The author offers practical recommendations that can enhance the effectiveness of the foreign language classroom.

Methods and Techniques of Self-Focus Research
Abstract
The article explores egocentrism as a person’s focus on himself. The problem of its connection with other personality characteristics is analyzed. The difficulties of studying the egocentrism of personality are considered, the peculiarities of its research in adolescents are noted. The methods for determining the level of egocentrism are described, the boundaries of their application are indicated. The conclusion is formulated that in order to control the effectiveness of socio-psychological trainings, it is necessary to study the dynamics of egocentrism, improve the methods of its measurement.

Understanding Emotions as an Aspect of Safe Behavior
Abstract
Questions are raised about the importance of understanding and knowing the emotion of anger as a consequence of safe behavior. The results of studies of ideas about the emotion of anger in different age groups (parents, preschoolers with disabilities, younger schoolchildren, younger teenagers) using the method of verbal reports are presented. The results obtained indicate ambiguous encoding and decoding of the emotion anger, possible control of its manifestation, which clearly determines the need for help in overcoming anger.

Abstract
The article deals with the concept, content and some directions of criminal law policy of modern Russia. The inseparable connection between process of perfection of a normative maintenance of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation and vectors of development of criminal-law policy which is implemented by the state is underlined. It is reported that among the main directions of criminal law policy there is reasonable combination of punishment and correction, repression and humanism which pursues the primary goal to ensure the punishability of a crime, correction of the condemned and to prevent a criminal act at the earliest stage possible.

Corruption as a Function of the Social System
Abstract
The social and psychological characteristics of corruption as a phenomenon inherent in society in different periods of its existence are considered. Socio-political factors of corruption are highlighted. Historical examples show the attitude of the state and society towards corruption and corrupt officials. The modern implementation of the anti-corruption mechanism of criminal and administrative legislation and its shortcomings are analyzed.
