Somatic phraseology with the component "nose" in Russian and Persian languages.

The present study is dedicated to the comparative analysis of phraseological units with the somatic component "nose" / "دماغ" (damagh) in Russian and Persian languages. Phraseologisms are considered as reflections of the national worldview, in which the characteristics of thinking, emotions, and cultural attitudes of each people are embedded. The subject of the study is phraseological units containing the lexeme "nose" in Russian and its Persian equivalent "دماغ" (damagh), as well as their semantic, structural, and axiological features. The methodological basis of the work consists of comparative and contextual methods, elements of axiological and semantic-cultural analysis. The research material is extracted from explanatory and phraseological dictionaries, literary sources, and collections of proverbs. The study identifies both universal and nationally-specific features in the functioning of phraseological units with this component. It has been established that in both linguistic cultures, "nose" / "دماغ" (damagh) serves a symbolic function, reflecting physical and psychological characteristics of a person, their attitude towards the world, emotions, behavioral and social traits. Russian phraseology demonstrates a cognitive-behavioral orientation (self-esteem, pride, attitude towards circumstances), while Persian emphasizes the emotional-psychological sphere (mood, vitality, inner balance). The scientific novelty of the research lies in the systemic approach to the analysis of phraseological units with the component "nose" / "دماغ" (damagh), first considered in axiological and cultural aspects in a comparative context. The results obtained confirm that phraseologisms of this group play a key role in the formation of a national worldview, serving as a means of expressing spiritual and cultural values. The conclusions of the research can be used in the practice of teaching Russian and Persian languages, in courses on intercultural communication, translation studies, and phraseography. The relevance of this study is determined by the growing interest of modern linguistics in issues of language and culture interaction, as well as the necessity to study ways of representing the human body in the linguistic worldview of different peoples. The analysis of phraseological units with the component "nose" / "دماغ" (damagh) allows uncovering similarities and differences in the perception of a person and their emotional states in Russian and Persian linguistic cultures.
