Structure of the City Planning Doctrine
Mazaev G.V.
Abstract
The article discusses the requirements for the structure of the City Planning Doctrine. It is shown that the doctrine, as a conceptual document, has the properties of the system that it describes. The doctrine should be constructed taking into account the principles of a hierarchical stratified system. The structure of the approved state doctrines, as well as the structure of the developed versions of the City Planning Doctrine, is considered.

Key provisions of the Donbass polycentric agglomeration development optimization model
Mazaev A.G.
Abstract
This article describes the model for optimizing the polycentric agglomeration of Donbas. Specific urban planning measures necessary for optimizing its development at the present stage are presented and described. These measures include those aimed at preserving and strengthening its polycentric nature by redistributing the population among small and medium-sized cities, some of which can effectively serve as tertiary urban centers. A system of urban planning measures is proposed to ensure the stable development of the agglomeration in the future.

Possible negative scenarios for the development of the Donbass agglomeration
Verkhovykh E.Y.
Abstract
The article examines the key development challenges of the Donbas polycentric agglomeration. It is shown that the greatest danger lies in the gradual loss of this agglomeration‘s polycentric character. A trend toward a gradual separation of the upper tier of Donbass cities from all other cities — small, medium, and large — is identified. This is particularly true for Donetsk, the central city of the agglomeration. The extrapolation analysis allows us to predict the timing and dynamics of this process. This process may result in the spatial fragmentation of the agglomeration into several monocentric and polycentric agglomerations. Two of the most likely spatial scenarios for such disintegration are presented. The necessary requirements for a future comprehensive model for optimizing the development of the Donbass polycentric agglomeration are formulated.

Three types of architectural and urban conflicts typical of the neoclassical central part of Yerevan
Bagina E.Y., Arustamyan M.A.
Abstract
Yerevan was built in the twentieth century on the site of ancient Erivan. The urban structure of Erivan was not taken into account in A. Tamanyan‘s master plan of 1919–1924, which led to a number of architectural and urban planning conflicts. Since Yerevan developed in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries under the conditions of a sharp change in architectural and urban paradigms, this gave rise to new conflicts and the subsequent deformation of the realization of the idea of the city-ensemble. There are three main types of architectural and urban conflicts typical of Yerevan: rectilinear stitch, fragmentary stitch and closed stitch. The architectural and urban conflicts in the neoclassical central part of Yerevan destroys the integrity of A. Tamanyan‘s master plan and require resolution during the reconstruction process.

Four fundamental architectural technologies for space colonization
Orlov E.A., Bartels G.A.
Abstract
The article explores innovative engineering and architectural solutions for creating lunar bases suitable for long-term human habitation. Using the example of a lunar station architectural contest project, the article examines methods for adapting technologies to extreme conditions. One of these lava caves has been proposed as a suitable location for the habitable part of the station. Based on the biomorphic properties of the freshwater hydra — regeneration, plasticity, and modularity — the authors developed an architectural and engineering concept for a lunar station. Its principles are implemented in a linear-modular system that combines the autonomy of segments with the integration of surface infrastructure and a subsurface base in a lava cave. The authors describe four new basic architectural and engineering technologies: mechanized self-propelled autonomous habitable modules with increased cross-country capability.

Features of performing a preliminary calculation of the natural light coefficient
Kolmakov A.V.
Abstract
The article raises the problem of the quality of presentation of the methodology for the preliminary calculation of the natural light coefficient in side lighting, described in SP 367.1325800.2017 (with amendments No. 2). Collisions are shown that prevent its correct understanding. Recommendations (textual and graphical) are given to correct the description of the calculation methodology in order to improve the accessibility of understanding by end users (architects).

Methodology for creating creative spaces through architectural means: the case of Yekaterinburg
Elizarova A.A.
Abstract
The article examines a methodology for creating creative spaces based on architectural solutions implemented in Yekaterinburg — one of the key centers of cultural and innovative development in the Ural Federal District. The analysis focuses on such venues as City Center, L52, Sinara Gallery, the White Tower, the House of Press, and the Domna creative cluster. Common principles underlying their design and reconstruction are identified, highlighting approaches that foster an architectural environment conducive to creativity, social interaction, and cultural activity. The author proposes an original methodology grounded in the synthesis of functional flexibility, historical and cultural context, and visual identity.

Numerical analysis of wind loads on complex shape structures
Abdullah H., Alekhin V.N., Pletnev M.V., Pogorelov S.N.
Abstract
This article evaluates the efficacy of numerical wind simulation as a superior alternative to standard code-based methods for assessing wind loads on complex structures. Conventional approaches, such as those outlined in SP 20.13330.2016, often struggle to accurately model the intricate flow fields and turbulence generated by non-standard geometries and the presence of adjacent buildings. This research employs high-fidelity transient CFD analysis to simulate these effects and provides a direct comparative assessment with code-derived results.

Impact of used engine oil on the water absorption of concrete
Razzaq A.W., Alekhin V.N.
Abstract
High water absorption in concrete significantly impacts its structural integrity. This article investigated the impact of used engine oil on concrete to assess water absorption, which enhances its durability while also serving as a method for disposing of waste oils, thus reducing environmental risks. Used engine oil was added to the concrete mix at 0.1 % to 1.6 % by weight of cement. The results showed that used engine oil enhanced concrete properties and reduced water absorption by 51 % while maintaining strength without any significant negative effects, also addressed waste management issues in line with environmental sustainability goals.

Improving punching shear design method for reinforced concrete slabs with unbalanced bending moment
Budarin A.M., Ragozin G.A., Alekhin V.N.
Abstract
The presence of an unbalanced bending moment causes additional stresses in the slab-column connection, influencing the punching shear capacity of the slab. The punching shear design method, presented in the building code SP 63.13330.2018, does not account for several important factors that significantly influence on the bearing capacity of the slab. Therefore, improving the code-based method for calculating punching shear capacity of reinforced concrete slabs under the combined action of a concentrated force and an unbalanced bending moment is a relevant task. This paper presents a modification of the design method that reflects the main factors influencing the load-bearing capacity of the structure under punching shear and exhibits a higher degree of correlation with experimental results compared to the code-based method.

Architecture of Smolensk fortress in pictorial and graphic works of the middle of XX — beginning of XXI century
Pilyak S.A.
Abstract
The Smolensk fortress unites different fortification constructions of the city mentioned since 863. The most notable object of the defensive ensemble is the fortress wall built by «all the cities of the Russian state» at the turn of the XVI–XVII centuries. The image of the walls and towers, creatively interpreting the image of the Moscow Kremlin, is attractive for artists. During the XVII century the fortress played the role of a strategically important military object on the western border of Russia. Images of fortifications at this time are predominantly associated with military tasks. In the XVIII–XIX centuries, the fortress, deprived of a single contour, acquires the meaning of an urban symbol.

Theories and methods for assessing attachment to places, buildings, and structures
Fedorova M.S.
Abstract
The article explores the phenomenon of place dependency and place identity. The relevance of the research is due to the growing interest in the transformation of the urban environment and the involvement of residents in its development processes. The paper systematizes the existing theoretical approaches to the study of attachment. Based on a review of scientific research, key predictors of attachment formation are identified: socio-demographic characteristics, social connections, and physical and ecological features of the environment. The results of the sociological survey demonstrate a significant differentiation of emotional reactions to the loss of various types of buildings. A typology of attachment has been developed, which includes four levels: from absent to strong attachment.
