The journal "Vestnik of Samara State Technical University. Series: Psychological and Pedagogical Sciences” has been published since 2004 and is a regular scientific publication issued by Samara State Technical University with the aim of developing research activities, supporting leading scientific schools and training highly qualified personnel. The journal is issued 4 times a year.

Social partnership in the formation of students’ professional and work experience

摘要

The paper reveals the theoretical and methodological foundations of social partnership in the system of higher education, focusing on its role in the formation of professional and work experience of students of a technical university. The key areas of social interaction (educational, practice-oriented, personnel development and research) and partnership models (contract, cluster, corporate, «triple helix») are considered, ensuring effective integration of the educational process with the production sphere of engineering training. The practice of social partnership of the Faculty of Rocket and Space Technology of Bauman Moscow State Technical University and RSCE Energia is described, where a hybrid model is implemented as maximally adapted to the requirements of the high-tech industry, ensuring the integration of professional training with research and production activities. It was revealed that the greatest effect in the formation of a student’s professional and work experience is achieved through the implementation of long-term forms of social partnership, taking into account the interests of all parties and a multi-level structure of interaction.

Gamification in teaching internet slang in Chinese to Russian students – future teachers

The paper discusses the use of gamification as an effective method for teaching Chinese Internet slang to Russian students studying pedagogy. The relevance of the research is due to the rapid development of Internet communication in Chinese and the need to prepare future teachers to understand and use modern linguistic realities in the educational process. The paper analyses the theoretical foundations of gamification, the principles of its implementation in foreign language teaching, and the specific features of Chinese Internet slang. The results of an empirical study are presented, demonstrating the positive impact of the developed gamified methodology on increasing student motivation, engagement, and performance in learning Chinese Internet slang. Specific examples of gamification elements and tasks adapted to the context of teaching Chinese to future teachers are proposed. In conclusion, the prospects for further use of gamification in Chinese language teaching practice are discussed, as well as the possibilities for adapting the presented methodology to other target audiences and language aspects.

Personal and social deficients of moral education and psychological health in the professional training of university students

The relevance of the problem under study is determined by the increased state requirements and societal demands on university graduates who possess not only well-developed professional competencies but also high moral ideals and psychological resilience to professional, social, and personal challenges. The authors focus on identifying personal and social deficiencies that manifest themselves in the area of moral education and psychological health of university students based on the analysis of empirical results. The primary research method used was an empirical survey of students. The article presents the results of a survey of 1st-5th-year students from Tambov State University named after G.R. Derzhavin and Moscow State Technical University named after N.E. Bauman (National Research University). The general sample consists of 195 undergraduate, graduate, and specialist students. The analysis of the data obtained using the "Spiritual Personality" diagnostic method (G.V. Ozhiganova) allowed us to determine the specific ways in which existential well-being mediates the impact of the educational process on students’ psychological health in its personal and individual components, on the one hand, and helps explain differences in the personal and social mediation of the results of moral education implemented in the educational process at a university, on the other. The results were processed using Fisher’s φ criteria, Student’s t-test, and descriptive statistics. This research is of interest to higher education researchers, university administrators, and faculty interested in creating a value-oriented educational environment, improving educational work, and preventing psychological risks. The research materials contribute to the development of scientific ideas about the spiritual and psychological potential of the individual, the determination of moral development deficiencies, and re-emphasize ways to overcome them through changes in the organization of professional training at the university.

Development of students’ critical thinking using artificial intelligence

Due to its well-structured system of definitions and proofs, mathematics as an academic subject in higher education institutions allows to train students in building logically sound chains of reasoning while solving problems and discussing possible methods and ways of doing sums and to choose relevant ones. Mathematics also allows to search and select relevant information, identifying missing and discarding redundant or inaccurate information, that is to form critical thinking. The importance of critical thinking development is due to ever-increasing volume of information, which has to be processed, understood and correctly applied in the right situation. Besides, the Federal State Educational Standard for Bachelor’s Degree Programs (3++) contains universal competence 1 which implies the university graduate’s being capable of searching information, critically analyzing and synthesizing it, applying a systems-based approach to tackle the given tasks. The research aim is to reveal the potential of the artificial intelligence (further – AI) systems as aids in the development of critical thinking in mathematics classes. In particular, when studying mathematical analysis, it is suggested to consider various methods of solving problems with the help of AI, to compare AI problem solutions with own ones, to analyze problem solutions critically, put forward, justify or reject hypotheses, choose relevant solutions. Scientific and methodological literature on the development of critical thinking at different training stages was studied and analyzed. The survey and questionnaire were conducted among students studying with and without the use of AI. The obtained data were systematized. The authors provide the definition of critical thinking in relation to the subject area under consideration. They also give examples of applying methodology for solving mathematical problems that contributes to the development of critical thinking skills in the process of students’ studying mathematical analysis using AI. The indicators of critical thinking development are described. The experiment on developing critical thinking skills of second-year students of the training program 01.03.02 is conducted.

Language and cultural barriers in international guest lecture: a case study of Polish lecturer in Indonesian graduate programs

This study investigates Indonesian postgraduate students’ perceptions of an international guest lecture presented online by a Polish professor, with a focus on language and communication hurdles, cultural differences in teaching styles, and technological engagement issues. employing a mixed-method approach with quantitative survey data supplemented by qualitative feedback from over 150 students, the study discovers that, while the majority found the lecturer’s English pronunciation clear and appreciated the adjusted speaking speed, a significant minority encountered difficulties due to accent differences. Students strongly appreciated cultural sensitivity and respect for Indonesian values, which aligned with their learning goals; nonetheless, complications in communication styles, particularly disparities in directness and indirectness, made comprehension difficult. Technological attributes such as platform efficacy and engaging ways were well received, while technical disruptions due to internet access hampered some participants. The findings emphasize the significance of linguistic adaptation, culturally responsive instruction, and a strong technology infrastructure for improving online international education. The study’s findings support existing notions about intercultural competency, culturally responsive teaching, and the important relationship between technology and learner engagement in virtual environments. Practical consequences emphasize the need for international guest speakers to adjust their speaking pace, add cultural understanding, and employ interactive digital tools, while universities must invest in dependable technology and preparation training. Subsequently, the study contributes empirical data to the discussion of globalized higher education by proposing techniques for increasing inclusion and efficacy in virtual foreign guest lectures in order to promote intercultural understanding and academic performance.

The study analyzes the pedagogical and organizational aspects of using digital technologies in the educational process at a university in the context of developing the digital competence of teachers at a technical university. The profile of possible risks arising from the use of modern digital technologies and Big Data methods in the educational process of a university is considered. The content of advanced training programs that ensure the formation of digital competence of teachers and the effective application of big data analysis methods is discussed. The objective of the study is to analyze and develop methodological recommendations for the modernization of advanced training programs for the development of digital competence of teachers and the prevention of the risks of digitalization of the educational process at a university. The article presents the results of an expert survey to assess the risk profile of using digital technologies and Big Data methods in the educational process at a university. The most significant issues of advanced training programs aimed at developing the digital competence of university teachers are identified. The article presents the results of a survey of teachers of the Heat Power Engineering Faculty of a technical university and teachers who studied in the advanced training programs of the Institute of Distance Learning of SamSTU (2023–2025). The study used the following methods: analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature on the research problem; expert survey; questionnaire.

Hermeneutic practices of forming Russian civil identity of schoolchildren

The research problem is caused by the contradiction between the social order of the Russian society for the preservation and strengthening of civil traditions in the general education system, ensuring the formation of the Russian civil identity of schoolchildren and the current state of procedural and technological support in the educational practice of updating the civil traditions of the Russian society, which have fragmentarily or completely lost their socio-cultural objectification. The aim of the scientific research is to determine the essence, structure and functions of the application of hermeneutic practices of commemorative reconstruction of civil traditions. Research results: hermeneutic practices of forming the Russian civil identity of schoolchildren have been substantiated and developed, which allow for a partial or complete reconstruction of Russian civil traditions in the space of school structure. The scientific relevance of the study is in the reconstruction of the identification potential of civil traditions (traditional values of Russian society, images of legendary heroes, objects of civil memory, identification space, roles of civil behavior), which has completely or partially lost socio-cultural objectification, but has been actualized by artificial replacement (commemorative reconstruction) as a result of the inclusion of schoolchildren in the hermeneutic practices of forming Russian civil identity.

Cultural and educational potential of the digital metropolis

The paper examines the process of expanding the urban agglomeration to a megalopolis, which once formed did not stop in its development and is in the process of constant transformation, in the light of recent decades – digital. A terminological analysis has been carried out, which makes it possible to consider the space of a megalopolis as a cultural and educational environment. The elements of the cultural and educational environment of the megalopolis are identified and described. The educational potential of urban urbanism is revealed and options for the introduction of urban objects with digital components into educational urbanism are proposed. The process of digitalization of megacities is analyzed and examples of how this happens at the information, organizational, supervisory and communication levels are given. An attempt has been made to anticipate the course of events in the further development of the digital metropolis, its symbiosis with already developing metaverses, as well as to suggest trends in the educational process within the framework of the coexistence of these metaverses.

Student volunteer activities within higher education system

The paper updates the problem of finding modern ways and means of organizing student volunteering in the higher education system. An analysis of the main regulatory documents determining the priority of organizing volunteer activities of students at the university is presented. The author’s interpretation of the concept of «volunteer activity of university students» is given, its main substantive characteristics are reflected. The results of a survey of full-time students (direction of training 44.03.05 Pedagogical education (with two training profiles), 44.03.02 Psychological and Pedagogical Education) of the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education «Orenburg State Pedagogical University» on the digital site Google Form are presented. The questionnaire included questions related to the organization of volunteering at the university, identifying the degree of motivation of students’ involvement in volunteer practices, realizing the importance of student volunteering for the good of the country and their own professional, personal and social development. Based on the survey data obtained, semantic guidelines (axiological, prosocial-partner, activating) were identified that determine the directions for minimizing the identified risky areas of organizing student volunteer activities at the university and strengthening the positive aspects of its implementation. It has been established that the totality of the identified semantic guidelines for organizing the volunteer activities of students at the university determines the need for a comprehensive use of resources: moral education; self-identification of students as representatives of the volunteer community and subjects of the constructive implementation of creative and creative voluntary labor; systems for training volunteers and replicating technologies for managing volunteer practices; volunteer mentoring and teaching support; creating dialogue platforms for exchanging experience and obtaining information of interest; self-education and self-discipline.

Features of the resilience of internet-active youth in new regions of Russia

The paper is devoted to the study of the resilience of Internet-active youth living in the new regions of the Russian Federation (Zaporizhzhia region). Amid ongoing social and political transformations, the study of psychological resources that ensure personal resilience and successful adaptation among youth is of particular relevance. Hardiness is conceptualized as an integrative personal trait that includes components such as control, commitment, and challenge (according to the S. Maddi model), as well as adaptability, perceived resourcefulness, and goal orientation. The study involved 458 respondents aged 18 to 30, divided into groups with high and low levels of internet activity based on the author’s research questionnaire "Level of Internet Activity" (A.I. Luchinkina, M.S. Bogdan), the A.I. Luchinkina questionnaire "Personality in the Internet Space," and the questionnaire "Index of Immersion in the Internet Environment" (L.A. Regush et al.). To assess the level of hardiness, the Personal Views Survey III-R (S. Maddi; Russian adaptation by D.A. Leontiev and E.I. Rasskazova) and the “Antivitally and Hardiness” questionnaire by O.A. Sagalakova and D.V. Truevtsev were used. Based on the obtained data, it can be concluded that the level of internet activity among respondents is closely linked to their resilience and personal characteristics. The most stress- and risk-resistant participants are those in the high internet activity group: they demonstrate stronger indicators on the scales of psychological support, self-regulation, striving for success, and a positive vision of the future, while showing fewer anti-vital thoughts and experiences. In contrast, respondents with low internet activity display more frequent anxious ruminations, feelings of abandonment, helplessness, and anti-vital tendencies. Participants with medium internet activity are characterized by the widest variation of results: although most of them show an average level of resilience, both high and low indicators are also present. The statistically significant differences identified (χ²emp ranging from 10.09 to 14.93 at p < 0.01) confirm that the intensity and quality of digital engagement largely determine young people’s personal resources, their ability to cope with difficulties, and their resistance to maladaptive tendencies. The practical significance of the study lies in the potential for developing psychological support programs that take into account the digital behavior of young people in Russia’s new regions.

Features of motivation for success among modern youth

In modern psychology, the pursuit of success is considered as one of the fundamental human needs, which reflects recognition in society, receiving high marks for their achievements, a prosperous existence, etc. In adolescence, during the first steps of professional development, motivation is formed to achieve success. The motivation to achieve success contributes to achieving success in a particular activity, which determines the relevance of the chosen research topic. The purpose of the study is a theoretical and empirical study of the motivation of student youth to achieve success in the context of a military conflict. The research used general scientific methods of the theoretical level (analysis, synthesis, systematization, generalization of scientific and theoretical data); empirical methods (questionnaires, surveys); data processing methods, the Chi-square criterion was used to study statistical differences. The study involved 331 students (n=111 boys and n=220 girls) aged 17–20 years. An analysis of the results showed that in conditions of military conflict, young people may experience both a desire to achieve success as a way of self-affirmation, and a desire to avoid failure in order to minimize risks. Statistically significant gender differences in the motivation to achieve success and the motivation to avoid failure among students were identified, due to both individual psychological characteristics and socio-cultural factors. The relevance of the study is in an attempt to understand the impact of the military conflict on the personal motivation of students living through this experience. Military actions can greatly change the perception of the future, goals, and personal achievements, and it is important to understand how this affects the desire for success and the avoidance of failure.

Features of subjective assessment by young people of their knowledge of structural components of civic identity

This paper examines the results of an empirical study of features of subjective assessment by young adults of their knowledge of three components of civic identity: ethnic, all-Russian, and universal human in early and late adolescence. The study participants were male youths and female youths of the early (15–18 years old) and late (19–23 years old) periods of adolescence. A review of theoretical and applied research on the peculiarities of the development of civic identity in adolescence has been conducted, and the levels of subjective assessment of one’s knowledge on three components of civic identity have been revealed: ethnic, national, and universal. The differences of these indicators among male youths and female youths in the early and late periods of adolescence are analyzed, considering gender specifics. It has been established that the vast majority of young people of both sexes and adolescence demonstrate a high level of subjective assessment of their ethnic, national and universal knowledge, and the revealed differences in the assessment of their knowledge in early and late adolescence in most parameters indicate that the main structures of the cognitive component of civic identity are most likely formed already in early adolescence. while further changes are more quantitative than qualitative in nature.
