Designing multilingual and multicultural curriculum
摘要
What is the relationship between language and culture? What role do language and culture play in designing curriculum that is inclusive of the needs of linguistically and culturally diverse students? What does multicultural and multilingual curriculum development look like? Scholarship on multicultural education acknowledges a strong interactive relationship between language, culture and learning and includes the benefits of bilingual instruction for multilingual students [10]; yet, often the assumption is that “coming to voice takes place in English only” [22]. Similarly, curriculum development for multicultural education is mainly done in the English language. The purpose of this article is to integrate both culture and language into the review of curriculum development that embraces both linguistic and cultural needs of diverse students. Using Sleeter’s [37] Un-Standardizing curriculum: Multicultural teaching in the standards-based classroom this targeted review encloses relevant scholarship in the fields of multilingual and multicultural education rooted in 4 central questions of curriculum theory: Question 1: What purposes should the curriculum serve? Question 2: How should knowledge be selected, who decides what knowledge is most worth teaching and learning, and what is the relationship between those in the classroom and the knowledge selection process? Question 3: What is the nature of students and the learning process, and how does it suggest organizing learning experiences and relationships? Question 4: How should curriculum be evaluated? How should learning be evaluated? To whom is curriculum evaluation accountable? [37] The results of the review provide educators and curriculum developers with much needed guidelines for developing comprehensive, culture and language sensitive curriculum.

Internetization of modern youth subculture
摘要
The article under analysis studies the modern youth subculture in the time of rapid development of Internet technologies and granted opportunities for communication and pastime among young people. The objective of the article is to study characteristics of the modern youth subculture undergone the transformation influenced by internetization processes. To achieve the purpose, the following points were determined:1) characterize the modern youth subculture existing on the basis of the Internet application “Instagram”; 2) analyze the results of the survey aimed at bringing to light a great popularity of the Instagram community among students and aimed at specifying the impact of the given application on participants; 3) find out the peculiarities of the modern subculture at the modern-day stage of the society development. The main methods of the study are the interpretation analysis of Russian and foreign scientific works and internet materials on the problems of modern youth subculture and its influence on the youth; the questionnaire method and the method of quantitative analysis. The scientific novelty lies in the fact that the characteristics of the modern youth subculture in the time of the society internetization are specified and its possible impact on a personality development and youth behaviour is demonstrated. The practical implication of the study results is in their possibilities to be used as topical information about the modern youth subculture in the time of the digital society by psychologists, any teaching staff and social care teachers in their scientific research and teaching-educational work with representatives of the young.

Pedagogical tolerance development in the process of teaching a foreign language
摘要
The paper deals with the problem of pedagogical tolerance formation by means of teaching foreign languages. Great importance and urgency of research are caused firstly by public need for tolerance which is reasonably regarded as a key to building harmonic and results oriented relationships between people (also in professional areas) and secondly by modern humanistic conception of education based on idea of careful and respectful attitude towards child’s identity in all of its socially acceptable manifestations. Pedagogical tolerance is regarded in the article as a professionally important quality, as an integral part of teacher’s ethical culture and a success factor for teaching activities. The opportunities for pedagogical tolerance development when teaching foreign languages are linked in the article with three aspects which substantially determine specifics of this discipline and its humanitarian potential. These are the conception of cultures dialog, the wide diversity of communicative practice and the possibility of axiological orientation of teaching content. Using some specially for future teachers designed tasks we show possible ways for effective development of tolerance, openness to the multicultural world, empathy, altruism, capacity for a dialogue and other personal qualities needed for keeping up a good relationship with pupils and maintaining a psychologically comfortable climate highly conducive for teaching and upbringing (also in a multi-ethic audience).

Identification of quality problems staff vocational training
摘要
Vocational training (VET) is a very complex and understudied system-object, the functioning of which is the subject to a continuous action of a large number of random (uncertain) factors. The coactions of these factors leads to significant inconsistencies in the development of the training program, reducing its effectiveness in relation to the achievement of learning objectives. The lack of commensurability of the real increase in efficiency with the target settings should be considered, first of all, as a problem of software quality. In connection with the insufficiency of the existing theoretical ideas about the internal properties of the educational process (OP), the problem of control synthesis can be solved by observing its inputs and outputs. Observation of the reaction of output quantities to changes in input influences allows us to construct an a posteriori model of the process, i.e. to identify the quality problem in the early stages of its inception.The purpose of this work is to investigate the possibility of ensuring the quality of personnel software by the identification method based on the results of evaluating the input and output signals of the OP as a control object. The methodology of work is based on the concept of integrated quality management (TQM) and the process approach.The main categories of problems of the quality of education are considered and clustered to support the adoption of managerial decisions. The most important features of closed and open problems that need to be considered when making decisions are described. Recommendations were developed on the application of methods of direct and indirect approaches to the identification of quality problems. It has been shown that discussions in cross-functional groups provide, as a rule, the best results in identifying and resolving problems. The value of the study for the theory and practice of software consists in constructing an identification procedure to support the adoption of informed decisions when choosing actions to prevent the development of quality problems.The developed identification procedure can be applied in the software system, providing an acceptable level of satisfaction of the enterprise personnel with the quality of training.

Forming a conceptual understanding of mathematics at students of technical universities

The global challenges that humanity is facing today pose the task of higher education to prepare a specialist with fundamental training and the ability to learn throughout life. Fundamentalization of education is not possible without the formation of students' conceptual understanding of the material studied. This problem is quite relevant in the study of mathematics due to the specific nature of this science. The researchers' lack of a unified point of view in determining the essence of the conceptual understanding of mathematics does not allow practitioners to develop tools for assessing the level of conceptual understanding among university students. The purpose the article is to identify and formulate the essential characteristics and pedagogical conditions for the formation of a conceptual understanding of mathematics, as well as to explore the possibilities and effectiveness of the integration of computer modeling as an instrument of forming a conceptual understanding in the process of teaching probability theory to students of technical universities. The study showed that a computer workshop, developed based on identified pedagogical conditions and taking into account the didactic capabilities of ICT in the educational process, is an effective means of developing conceptual understanding when studying a course in probability theory. Students whose curriculum included a workshop with elements of computer modeling have a more excellent knowledge of methodologically significant knowledge and the ability to relate previously learned material to new problems.

Management of the educational process in the field of language education at the university

The problem of managing the educational process in the implementation of language education in a non-linguistic University is studied on the example of MGIMO Odintsovo branch (Moscow region). We consider the mechanisms, algorithms, and systems of pedagogical management, including LMS (learning Management System), which can be used in the conditions of standard, mixed, and distance learning, including during the forced full transition to remote mode in the spring of 2020 and the introduction of mixed learning in the 1st semester of the 2020/2021 academic year. The article presents an algorithm for pedagogical management of the educational process in the field of implementation of language education in a non-linguistic University, which includes the following stages: planning, design, motivation, implementation, monitoring and reflection. The algorithm has been successfully implemented in our University, including in the conditions of the COVID-19 pandemic. The conditions of pedagogical management of process of implementation of language education (humanistic orientation, taking into account specifics of the spiritual and moral development and the needs of students and individual (gender and age, level of proficiency, etc.). local language system characterized by the following parameters: the dominance of a clear and verified the goals of language education; the combination of complex ideas, the whole process of language education and work programs, teaching materials, etc.; permanently managed correction and development of the language teaching process taking into account changing external and internal conditions, requests and goals; monitoring of the achieved learning results. The criteria for evaluating the quality of management effectiveness are highlighted: the order and transparency of the process of implementing language education; the presence of the "backbone" of the teaching staff of the Department, the cohesion of the University itself "vertically" , etc. The introduction of the proposed algorithm of pedagogical management of the educational process in the field of language education implementation into the educational process of MGIMO showed its effectiveness, which was reflected not only on the results of the session and state exams, but also on the level of language training of graduates who reached the desired B2-C1/C2, having initially A2/B1. Moreover, the implementation of the algorithm developed by US at MGIMO allowed not only to systematize and simplify the management process.

Analysis of the subject field of the phenomenon of communicative culture in dissertation research on pedagogical science
摘要
The paper is devoted to the phenomenon of communicative culture in pedagogical science. The material for the study was the domestic dissertation research on pedagogy from 1998 to 2017, the subject of which is this phenomenon. The authors define the main theoretical constructs (communicative competence, pedagogical communication, communication culture, etc.), which allowed researchers to formulate their own definition of the phenomenon of communicative culture. It is revealed that the performances of modern domestic scientists understanding of the studied phenomena is ambiguous and depends on the specific problems of the study, in 53.1% of studies, the phenomenon of communicative culture is understood as an integral (or integrative) personal quality; 9.5% - as a component of professional activity, giving the opportunity to represent the studied phenomenon by transferring characteristics of professional activity; in 16.6 per cent as the quality of the individual, reflecting the motives and needs of communication and interaction with other people; in 20.2% - as the ability to establish a variety of social contacts, depending on the mastery of science and the art of communication, patterns and values of behavior. At the same time, related concepts (for example, communicative activity, pedagogical communication, communicative competence, culture of communication, etc.) were studied in detail. Freedom in determining the components of the structure of the phenomenon of communicative culture, we explain the artificiality of ideas about it in the mind of the researcher as a consequence of transposition (a variant of the result of generalization).

Comparative analysis of psychological characteristics of representatives of different adolescent subcultures
摘要
The paper discusses the psychological characteristics of adolescence. In order to manage the process of socialization of adolescents and build a prevention line, knowledge of the school environment is necessary. The most common subcultures in the adolescent environment are highlighted. A comparative analysis of the psychological characteristics of adolescents belonging to different subcultures is carried out. Differences in self-assessment of interpersonal relationships, motivation for affiliation, aggressiveness and socio-psychological adaptation among adolescents were revealed.
