Design, Synthesis and Anticancer Activity of 1,2,4-Thiadiazole Derivatives Bearing 1,2,4-Oxadiazole

A series of novel 1,2,4-thiadiazole derivatives bearing 1,2,4-oxadiazole is synthesized. Structures of the synthesized compounds are confirmed by ¹H and ¹³C NMR, and mass spectra. All products are evaluated for their anticancer activity towards human cancer cell lines: MCF-7 (breast), A549 (lung), Colo-205 (colon), and A2780 (ovarian), and demonstrate good to moderate anticancer activity. Four synthesized compounds are characterised by potent activity.
