THE IMPORTANCE OF VAGO-SYMPATHIC BLOCKAD IN THE DIAGNOSIS OF ACUTE CHOLECYSTITIS
Abstract
The problem of surgical treatment of acute cholecystitis continues to attract the attention of surgeons by its relevance. Proponents of the active direction recommend immediate surgical intervention as soon as the diagnosis of acute cholecystitis is established, excluding only mild cases from this rule. This is difficult to follow in practice, since the division of acute cholecystitis into "light" and "difficult" for the clinician is the most difficult task.
THERAPEUTIC SIGNIFICANCE OF NOVOCAINE BLOCKADE ACCORDING TO A.V. VISHNEVSKY IN CERTAIN FORMS OF SURGICAL PATHOLOGY OF THE ESOPHAGUS AND STOMACH
Abstract
It is known that many diseases of the esophagus (both organic and functional) are quite often accompanied by two inextricably linked processes: esophageal spasm and inflammation of its walls. This gives reason to talk about a kind of vicious circle in which a spasm of the esophagus, due to stagnation and food trauma, leads to esophagitis, and this latter increases the esophageal state. Both of these processes, regardless of their etiology, can be considered as a manifestation of dystrophy and dystonia, the course of which can be changed in a favorable direction by the action of novocaine (A.V. Vishnevsky, A.A. Vishnevsky, etc.).
EPILEPSY AND ITS PATHOGENESIS
Abstract
The problem of epilepsy, despite numerous studies, until now cannot be considered resolved.
Throughout our activities, we have defended the doctrine of cortical localization of the pathological process in epilepsy, opposing the concepts of V.K.Khoroshko, A.D.Speransky, and others, who supported the theory of subcortical genesis of epilepsy.
TREATMENT OF UNEXPECTED PREGNANCY WITH LUMBAR BLOCK ACCORDING TO A. V. VISHNEVSKY

A CASE OF SUCCESSFUL OBESITY DIET THERAPY FOR ITSENKO-CUSHING SYNDROME
Abstract
Currently, a distinction is made between Cushing's disease, when the pituitary gland (basophilic adenoma) is affected, and Cushing's syndrome, in which either the adrenal glands, or the ovaries, or the thymus gland are affected more often. A number of authors, such as Zondek, Benda and Bauer, believe that Cushing's syndrome is caused by damage to a number of glands, and among them, primarily, changes in the adrenal cortex.
ECHINOCOCCUS Spleen
Abstract
Solitary echinococcus of the spleen is relatively rare. The most probable path of damage to the spleen: from the intestine, the embryo of an echinococcus enters the portal vein, then into the inferior vena cava, into the right heart and through the pulmonary circulation enters the ventricle of the heart, and from there into the systemic circulation and into the spleen (Yu.A. Volokh)
ECHINOCOCCUS UTERINE

DENTAL GLOWING PLASTIC SPATEL
Abstract
To examine the patient's mouth and throat in any position and in the absence of the necessary environment and lighting, we have constructed a new device in the form of a spatula made of acrylic plastic and a handle, inside which an electric light bulb (4-8 volts) is mounted. A beam of light from a light bulb passes in a straight line through the plastic of the spatula to its end; at the end of the spatula, a beam appears sufficient to illuminate the cavity being examined.
