Abstract
over the past few years, Russia and China have made significant efforts to expand and strengthen strategic co-operation, including in the field of education and cultural exchange. The aim of the article is to study the prospects of teaching the speciality ‘Visual Communication Design’ in the context of the development of Sino-Russian cultural integration. Research objectives: 1) to consider the features and distinctive features of the speciality ‘Visual Communication Design’ from the point of view of its influence on intercultural interaction; 2) to outline the teaching objectives of the course from the point of view of cultural integration; 3) to identify progressive and effective pedagogical practices that allow achieving educational objectives. Research methods: abstraction, generalisation, comparison, systematisation. The results obtained in the course of the research indicate that teaching and mastering the speciality ‘Visual Communication Design’ allows promoting an atmosphere that recognises cooperation, interdisciplinary peer learning and independence as the main elements of effective practice of cultural integration of students from the Russian Federation and the PRC. The pedagogical practices discussed in the article can find their practical application in the direction of developing and promoting cross-cultural acceptance of students of different nationalities, which is a prerequisite for successful communication and interaction in an international professional environment.
