The article addresses structural and functional features of the discourse shaping mechanism that the author defines as discursive programming. The typologies offered in the study are based on the structural features (orientation) as well as the qualitative properties of discursive programming. The conclusions show the relationship between the communicative function of discursive programming and its typological characteristics.
