Participation of Meshchera service Tatars in the embassy service of the Russian state in the 16th–17th centuries (some aspects)
摘要
It is known from sources and research literature that in the second half of the 16th–17th centuries, a significant number of interpreters and translators of the Tatar language, who were landowners from the Meshchera region, served in the Ambassadorial Prikaz (Office). However, their origin has not yet been analyzed in more detail. Based on previously obtained data, the author established that the translators were descendants of noble Siberian immigrants from the inner circle of Kuchum and the Kuchumovichs, as well as representatives of the most noble Meshchera princely families. All of them, through marriages, were in kinship and property to each other and provided protection when appointed to serve as employees of the Ambassadorial Office. The interpreters and villagers, apparently, for the most part came from ordinary Tatars. Their origin still remains unclear. At the turn of the 16th–17th centuries, their numbers increased at an explosive pace, but throughout the 17th century, for various reasons, a gradual decline in this category of employees of the Ambassadorial Office was recorded.

The purpose of the study is to tell about the role of the Tatar people in the formation of militia troops in the Patriotic War of 1812 and Foreign campaigns of 1813–1814. "In general, I’m a big fan of India and the East – this must be Basargin Tatarism" (Vice-Admiral Grigory Gavrilovich Basargin – military governor of the Astrakhan province and commander of the Caspian flotilla)
摘要
In the history of the Russian Empire until today, there are quite a few little-studied topics. One of them is stories with the participation of naval officers of the Imperial Russian Navy of Turkic origin. This study examines the historical episode in which the military governor of the Astrakhan province, the commander of the Caspian flotilla, Vice-Admiral Grigory Gavrilovich Basargin took part, whose ancestors came from the Golden Horde, left a noticeable mark in resolving a number of pressing issues in establishing ties with the countries of the East. In addition, today's public, and the scientific community as a whole, with the rare exception of specialists dealing with this scientific topic, perceive the immigrants from the Turkic people as being engaged in solving exclusively terrestrial problems. However, there was a time when representatives of our people took an active part in the enormous diplomatic, political and naval efforts on the part of imperial Russia to advance in the southeast direction.

Formulary lists of Meshcheryaks of the Bashkir-Meshcheryak army of 1843–1844 as a source on the military history of the Tatars
摘要
The article is devoted to the analysis of the features of the formulary lists of the Tatar-Mishars who were part of the Bashkir-Meshcheryak army. Despite the lack of due attention to this type of sources in the scientific literature, information from them is of great interest in the context of the military history of the Tatars during the period of imperial Russia. Among the layer of specific documents, special mention should be made of the formulary lists about the service and dignity of military ranks, since they make it possible to form a social portrait and restore the service and combat path of the Tatar military man. At the same time, the source clearly shows the social differentiation of the Meshcheryaks. Thus, it was difficult for the sons of ordinary Cossacks and constables to move up the career ladder. Having studied the materials of the formulary lists, the author concludes that the service of the Meshcheryaks was predominantly linear in the period under review. A small part of the military personnel was involved in suppressing riots of the local population, and diplomatic and foreign service was sporadic.

The process of replacing the Arabic alphabet with Cyrillic alphabet in the Steppe region
摘要
The article discusses the reasons for replacing the Tatar Arabographic alphabet with the Cyrillic alphabet. Based on archival data, the process of changing alphabets with the help of missionaries, government officials, Kazakh educators, and Tatar teachers in Russian educational institutions is traced. The work was written on the basis of archival documents from the Central Archives of the Republic of Kazakhstan, the State Archives of the Republic of Tatarstan. The main research method is a problem-chronological approach, which made it possible to consider the processes under study in the dynamics of sociocultural processes that took place in the Steppe region. The work may be useful in studying the ethno-confessional policy of the Russian Empire and the mutual influence of the cultures of the Turkic peoples.

His life at the Front was the period from August to October 1917. The author comes to the conclusion that H.Zaini’s materials reveal a different picture of the everyday life of a Tatar soldier, different from the traditional intersectional prism of Tatar soldiers. In preparing this article, the author used personal sources (autobiography, memoirs), as well as office materials from the 3rd Army and publications from the newspaper "Voice of the Third Army".
