IMPROVING MEDICAL SUPPORT FOR EVENTS TO TRAIN MILITARY PERSONNEL TO PERFORM TASKS IN THE HIGHLANDS

Abstract

Most of the military conflicts in the last decades with participation of the Armed forces of our country took place in the mountain landscape, namely Afghanistan, counterterrorist operations in the Northern Caucasus, peacemaking missions in South Ossetia and Abkhazia. The warriors passed through «trouble spots» know that a war in mountains is not the same as a war in plain and it requires special preparation. It is necessary to take into consideration factors of climate and geography which influence medical provision in mountains as well as sanitary casualty’s formation and mode of evacuation and treatment. Based on literature data, the historical facts of warfare conduction in mountains were presented. Factors of climate and geography adversely affected the human health during warfare conduction in mountains. The analysis of the mountain training medical provision organization was carried out. Based on that some proposals for improvement of mountain training medical provision of military personnel of the Armies forces of the Russian Federation were formulated

EMPATHY AS A COMPOSITION OF DIALOGICAL COMMUNICATION IN THE PROCESS OF TRANSFER OF NEW INFORMATION

Abstract

The review considers the communicative aspect of the professional activity of a doctor, where communication acts as a diagnostic and therapeutic tool. The concept of «Empathy» was examined. The necessity of forming empathic abilities as a professionally important quality is substantiated, and as a condition for productive professional communication during the period of study at the university. The principles of the organization of the educational process that contribute to an increase in the level of empathy among students in the conditions of a medical college are described, as well as the psychological mechanism for the formation of professional self-development of to-be specialists’ personality. The methods that allow not only to form the empathic culture of the student are enumerated, as well as methods permitting to maintain a certain level of the empathic culture of the teacher himself. The results of the study of the components of professional burnout and the level of empathic tendencies of medical workers of various specialties are considered. Sex differences in the evaluation of personal empathy and selfishness as well as age differences in the evaluation of altruistic behavior are discussed

PROGNOSTIC VALUE OF MORPHOMETRIC PARAMETERS OF ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY AND PLACENTOMETRY

Abstract

Objective. The aim of the study was to compare the morphometric parameters of echocardiography in a normally occurring pregnancy. Comparison of the obtained data with the data of heart measurement in children perinatally perished, as well as the analysis of the mass indexes of the fetus and placenta in healthy fetuses and fetuses perinatally lost. Materials and methods. We analyzed 94 protocols for the investigation of post-mortem and the protocols for autopsy of fetuses and newborn infants perinatal in various maternity hospitals in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region (group 1). The control group 2 consisted of 12 patients who were registered for pregnancy, were examined according to the usual pattern, later they had urgent deliveries to healthy newborns, the histological structure of the placenta was represented by reactive and compensatory-adaptive changes characteristic of the placenta of the normal structure. Patients of control group 2 underwent evaluation of echocardiograms obtained during the third screening test during pregnancy, performed at the time of 32-34 weeks. Control group 3 included 335 observations of full term pregnancy, which resulted in the birth of a healthy fetus. In this group, an analysis was made of the mass indexes of the fetus, placenta, and the integral index of the placental-fetal ratio. Results of the study. Massometric parameters of the fetus, placenta and integral index of the placental-fetal ratio in the patients of the main and control groups were analyzed. Typical changes in the weight of the placenta and placental-fetal ratio in patients with perinatal fetal death were determined. Opportunities were identified for risk groups for perinatal fetal death according to the analysis of the sonocardiogram. Conclusion. 8 conclusions are presented that represent the possibility of predicting perinatal losses depending on the size of the placenta, placental-fetal ratio, the isolation of risk groups for perinatal fetal death according to the data of sonocardiography

Abstract

The result of analysis of the tuberculosis morbidity of military servicemen in 2009-2015 is presented. The most significant risk factors and the contribution of risk group in the morbidity in modern conditions are established. Quality of the dispensary observation of risk group is estimated, the principal defects are revealed. The paths for the further improvement of anti-tuberculosis measures in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are offered: carrying out the immunodiagnostics of tuberculosis at citizens before the beginning of military service and profound medical examination of all young army reinforcement

TO THE HISTORY OF TARKHOVSKY MILITARY SANATORIUM

Abstract

The article presents data from the archives on the history of the health resort-Sanatorium “Tarkhovsky” of the Ministry of defense of the Russian Federation. The history of creation of the sanatorium from 1933 to the present time is reflected. A unique location of the sanatorium in the city of Sestroretsk, close to the Gulf of Finland and lake Sestroretsky Spill. The article deals with the healing effects of sea air, obtaining medical procedures for the rehabilitation of servicemen, pensioners of the Ministry of defense, civil personnel of the Ministry of defense and others. In 2018, the branch “Sanatorium «Tarhovsky»” part of the Sanatorium complex “Zapadny” will celebrate its anniversary - 85 years (4 figs, bibliography: 1 ref.).

IN MEMORIAM OF VALENTIN PETROVICH SHCHERBINA

Abstract

The 85th anniversary of Valentin Petrovich Shcherbina was on the 17th of July 2017. He started scientific investigations as a student of the Faculty of training Medics for the Land and Missile Forces. After his admission to the Department of Biology and Medical Parasitology, Valentin Petrovich was busy with teaching activity. In 1972 after the defense of the thesis he became assistant professor. Since 1976, being the head of the department, he reconstructed Department’ Museum. He organized scientific expeditions to South Caucasus and Middle Asia. Department’ employees traveled to the region of the Baikal-Amur Railway for studying vectors and parasites. Valentin Petrovich was the first military-medical parasitologist who visited areas of military units’ deployment. For many years V. P. Shcherbina was a permanent chairman of Parasitologe Society of Leningrad. He is an author of several hundred textbooks, articles and methodical guides, the supervisor of many candidate and doctoral dissertations.

This article is the last completed work of the famous historian, doctor of historical Sciences, Professor of St. Petersburg state University Yuri G. Alekseev. XI century. In Russia ended the great era. Yesterday’s pagan Russia is consecrated by the light of Orthodoxy. There comes a time of Yaroslav’s sons the inheritors of a great epoch. Leadership ability and activity of Vladimir Monomakh - the pinnacle of martial arts of Ancient (pre-Mongolian) Russia. The political expediency of his actions, a well-thought-out strategy, organization and management of the troops ensured the solution of the most important political task. Russian land for several decades is protected from the danger of the Polovtsian invasion. Direct descendants of Monomakh, having gone through all the hardships, managed to create a great Russian power.
