Design, Synthesis and Anticancer Evaluation of Novel Furan Sulphonamide Derivatives

A series of novel furan sulphonamide derivatives 13a–13j was synthesized. The structures of the compounds are confirmed by ¹H and ¹³C NMR, and mass spectra. All newly synthesized compounds were evaluated for their anticancer activity against three human cancer cell lines, including breast cancer cell (MCF-7), lung cancer cell (A549) and melanoma cancer cell (A-375). The compounds 13a–13c, 13e, 13g–13j demonstrated the activity higher than the positive control.
