Abstract
Based on the experimental studies of models in a vertical wind tunnel, an aerodynamic solution was found in the form of an extension in front of the horizontal tail of certain geometry, allowing considerable improvement of spin characteristics and ensuring the spin recovery by various methods that is especially important for a trainer aircraft. The paper presents the results of experiments on dynamically similar free-flying models confirming the improvement of spin characteristics and experiments on weight models proving the positive effects obtained.
