Abstract

In this paper, the results of stress-strain behavior and tribological characteristics of polymer composites based on PTFE with complex fillers are presented. It is shown that the introduction of complex fillers significantly increases the wear resistance of polymer composites while maintaining stress-strain performance at a level of an unfilled polymer and a composite with only one filler. Structural studies were carried out for friction surfaces of polymeric composites by SEM and IR spectroscopy. Presented are the results of tribotechnical tests after preliminary wear-in of polymer composites. It is shown that secondary structures on friction surfaces of polymer composites are formed during wear-in, which leads to an increase in the wear resistance of materials.
