Будущее независимости Тайваня в контексте взаимоотношений США и КНР

Аннотация

Актуальность статьи обусловлена нерешённостью тайваньской проблемы во взаимоотношениях Китая и США. Её анализ позволил автору статьи выявить, что из-за стратегической значимости Тайваня, он является яблоком раздора между США и Китаем и это негативно сказывается на безопасности Азиатско-Тихоокеанского региона. Тайбэй при поддержке Вашингтона претендует на звание независимого государства, а Пекин рассматривает остров как составную часть КНР; после выборов нового президента Тайваня в 2024 г., на которых победил сторонник независимости острова и укрепления связей с США, Китай усилил давление на Тайвань; будущее острова во многом зависит от того, как будут складываться отношения США и КНР по этому вопросу.
