Аннотация
Статья посвящена религиозным тенденциям среди латиноамериканцев в Соединённых Штатах. В ней рассматриваются сложности измерения их религиозной принадлежности и религиозные тенденции их группы. Идентифицированы причины сдвига и выявлены особенности политических взглядов католиков, протестантов и нерелигиозных. Установлено, что религиозная принадлежность влияет на политический выбор, а степень поляризации в зависимости от этого фактора усиливается. Религиозный сдвиг может вызвать частичную трансформацию партийных предпочтений, что бросает вызов традиционной электоральной базе Демократической партии.
