Сопоставительный анализ идиом о труде китайского и английского языков и их роль в поликультурном образовании студентов зарубежной филологии
Abstract
In this study the problem of the intercultural communication development in multicultural education is considered. A comparative analysis of Chinese and English idioms is carried out, their similarities and differences are revealed, grammatical, lexical and semantic features of their use are analyzed. The formation principles of idiomatic expressions are analyzed, which can be seen in their comparative analysis, and the results of their analysis are presented. With the help of frequency dictionaries, the frequency of use in speech of the expressions given in the examples is considered. It is found that not all idioms have equivalents, such idioms are rare. Most of the idioms have an analogue in which one or all words or graphemes are replaced. Another significant proportion of idioms is tracing (partial analogue), in which almost all elements are modified depending on the specifics of the languages and culture of the countries.

Emigrant image and nomadic motives in the novel by E.M. Remarque “Arc of Triumph”
Abstract
The emigrant heroes’ images of the novel by E.M. Remarque “Arc of Triumph” and the specifics of the author's attitude to the German emigration in the 1930s are determined. The emigrant appears in this novel not as a victim of historical circumstances, but as the bearer of a certain life philosophy: the fragility of his position corresponds to variability as an essential characteristic of the world. The study compares an emigrant image in Remarque’s novel with the concept of a nomad in modern postmodern philosophy.

Ethical values in contemporary design
Abstract
The problem of the role and place of moral values in the activities of a modern designer is considered. It is noted that, along with the aesthetic, the ethical aspect of the designer’s work is of great importance, since it is this that allows building relationships in human-oriented professions. The concept of “professional ethics” is characterized and the current features of the designer’s professional ethics, reflected in the international code, are highlighted. In conclusion, the importance of a clear understanding and consolidation of ethical values within the design profession is substantiated.

Anthropology of violence in the context of video game aesthetics
Abstract
The problems of ethical systems in modern popular culture are considered. A number of video game projects demonstrate the desire to overcome the dichotomy of “good and evil” and enter the “grey zone of morality” – the space of complexity of motives and circumstances. In the plots of many cultures, morality is a tool for retributive relationships in the revenge form, which often manifests itself in the violence form. A detailed study of the anthropology of violence is presented on the example of the “Hotline Miami” video game, as well as the ways in which computer games reflect on contemporary sociocultural trends. The purpose of the study is to analyze how the aesthetics of video games, using audiovisual means and symbolic narratives, contributes to the representation of culture and violence in the modern media space. The methods of description, sociocultural observations and empirical content analysis are used.

Methods’ application of mathematical physics for solving applied problems of school mathematics
Abstract
The issue whether choosing exams and preparing for them is relevant for school graduates. For several years now, the final exam in mathematics (Unified State Exam) has been divided into two modules: basic-level mathematics and specialized-level mathematics. The exam structure in specialized mathematics is more voluminous and much more complicated in theoretical terms, since the choice of this exam implies that the graduate is focused on specialties with a physical and mathematical bias (various engineering specialties, specialties related to the large databases processing, etc.). The structure of control and measuring materials of the Unified State Exam in profile mathematics includes tasks of both: a basic level and an advanced one. Due to the fact that the Federal State Educational Standard of secondary education implies the presence of intersubject communications, intersubjectivity is also reflected in examination tasks. So, task no. 10 is a calculation task of applied content, most often representing physical formulas and dependencies that describe real physical processes, the calculations in which must be made using mathematical methods. Although, according to the complexity level, this task belongs to the basic content tasks, when solving such tasks, errors of a different nature are quite common. In this regard, this study analyzes the results of solving applied problems with physical content in the control and measuring materials of the Unified State Exam (dynamic analysis over the past three years), considers the main types of problems of such type, and with it the most common errors. A technique for solving applied problems of the described type is given.

The hidden meaning of the “invisible hand” in the writings of Adam Smith
Abstract
The scientific heritage of A. Smith is studied. An attempt is made to interpret the most famous metaphor in economics – the “invisible hand”. An analysis of the contexts of using the “invisible hand” within the framework of A. Smith’s three scientific and philosophical works: “The Wealth of Nations”, “The Theory of Moral Sentiments” and “The History of Astronomy” showed the possibility of multiple interpretations of the meaning of this metaphor. The authors do not claim that within the framework of this study they are able to give an exhaustive interpretation of the “invisible hand”. However, they hope that their speculations will supplement and enrich the ideas of the scientific community about A. Smith as an outstanding Scottish thinker.
