Merezhkovsky’s trilogy consisted of three parts: "The Mystery of Three: Egypt and Babylon" (1925), "The Mystery of the West: Atlantis- Europe" (1930), "Jesus Unknown" (1932-1934). There identify the peculiar properties of the type of work, theme, composition, style, form of presentation of the material . The trilogy is a detailed evidence of the basic religious and philosophical ideas of the writer on the historical and cultural material. The composition based on reasoning with the argument by analogy and reliance on authority.
