Analysis of the level of readiness of students of a pedagogical university for professional activity with young children

the purpose of this article is to analyze the level of readiness of students of pedagogical universities for professional activity with young children. The study examines modern trends in the training of future educators, analyzes statistical data on university admissions, indicators of mastering professional competencies, and identifies key problems in the pedagogical education system. The results of monitoring students' training in the main components – theoretical, practical, methodological, and personal – are presented. It has been established that during the period 2022-2024, there has been a significant improvement in students' professional competencies, especially in terms of practical skills and methodological training. The objectives of the article are to determine the main challenges that contribute to the insufficient practice-oriented nature of education, the limited use of innovative technologies, and the shortage of mentors, as well as to develop recommendations for improving educational programs, integrating digital technologies, developing the mentoring system, and expanding internship opportunities. The presented results can be used to optimize the training of future educators and improve the quality of their professional activities.
