Abstract

This article provides a critical analysis of the negative consequences of social transformations occurring on the African continent in the context of intensifying globalization processes. The paper examines globalization processes through the lens of the imposition of specific, deconstructive socioeconomic strategies that lead to the further impoverishment of a significant portion of the population and the deepening gap between rich and poor strata of society in African countries. In conclusion, the author identifies several of the most significant negative trends in social transformations in contemporary African countries developing in the context of globalization.
