Boldov A.S., Gusev A.V., Afonina G.S., Ivanov D.A.

Abstract

In the "Zoomer" generation, there is a frequent occurrence noted by many scholars of a certain tendency towards a "clip" worldview, leading to the necessity of having large arrays of alternative content resources for consumption – the opportunity for choice. The purpose of the study is to explore alternative options for normative diagnostics, taking into account the independent choice of norms for assessment by students, in accordance with the postulates of the psychological and pedagogical approach in higher education. Research methods and organization. Methods of analytical selection and synthesis of data from literary sources, pedagogical experiment, and methods of mathematical statistics were employed. The study involved 80 students from four faculties. The research lasted for one academic year. Research results and conclusions. During the study, gender differences in the results of normative diagnostics were confirmed for the majority of selected standards. Among the most preferred alternative standards, in addition to "30-second Sit-up" and "30-second Jump Rope," there was a standard from the "Ready for Labor and Defense" complex called "Flexibility." It was found that students are not interested in using normative diagnostics to differentiate social and professional life skills as stated in the Federal State Educational Standard for Higher Education.

DEFINITION OF THE STRATEGY FOR ASSEMBLING THE BEST NATIONAL TEAMS FOR THE 2024 OLYMPICS AND COMPARING THEIR ACHIEVEMENTS WITH THE RESULTS OF THE 2023 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS IN TEAM AND ALL-AROUND COMPETITIONS

Saveleva L.A., Somkin A.A.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to determine the strategy of the USA, Italy and Brazil teams for winning medals at the Paris Olympics and to compare it with the results demonstrated by these teams at the 2023 World Championships. Research methods and organization: The methods used include analysis and generalization of the results of the main competitions - the 2023 World Championships, the 2024 European Championships, the series of qualifying tournaments for the 2024 United States Olympic team and the Olympic Games; expert evaluation and judging of the 2024 Russian Cup; statistical processing and comparison of the obtained materials. Research results and conclusions. It has been determined that the strategies for forming national teams that became the best at the Paris Olympics differ significantly. The teams from Italy and Brazil have a rather "narrow circle" of candidates and were forced to compete with practically the same lineups at the 2023 World Championships and the 2024 Olympics. The United States has a "broad circle" of candidates for inclusion in the main roster. Therefore, there exists a multi-stage selection system. In the USA team the "second number" holds significant importance, as she should be able to compete for the first place in the all-around final in case of an unsuccessful performance of the leader.

THE INTERCONNECTION OF EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE, PERFECTIONISM AND STRESS RESISTANCE IN STUDENTS AND CADETS

Sinelnikova E.S.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to study the characteristics and interconnections of emotional intelligence, perfectionism, and stress resilience among students and cadets. Research methods and organization. Methods: descriptive statistics, Pearson correlation analysis. Techniques: multidimensional scale of perfectionism by Hewitt and Flett (adapted by I. I. Grachev), "Emotional Intelligence" by D. V. Lyusin, methodology for determining the likelihood of stress development (according to T. A. Nemchin and Taylor). First hypothesis: perfectionism is interconnected with indicators of emotional intelligence and stress resistance among both students and cadets. Second hypothesis: the structure of the relationships between emotional intelligence, perfectionism, and stress resistance differs between students and cadets. The study sample consisted of students from the Emperor Alexander I St. Petersburg State Transport University and cadets from the Military Institute of Physical Culture aged 18-23. Research results and conclusions. High standards and self-demand are associated with greater stress resilience and higher emotional intelligence indicators among students and cadets. For students, high self-requirements are linked to intrapersonal emotional intelligence, while for cadets, they are associated with interpersonal emotional intelligence. High demands placed on others increase the likelihood of stress development among cadets and are related to poorer emotional intelligence indicators among students. The obtained results confirmed the research hypotheses.

ENGAGING IN SPORTS AS ONE OF THE FACTORS THAT ENHANCE THE LEVEL OF PSYCHOLOGICAL WELL-BEING

Filatova S.I., Ilina N.L., Pavlenko A.V.

Abstract

One of the important areas of contemporary research is the study of the concept of psychological well-being. Psychological well-being is interpreted by researchers as a multi-component construct that includes psychological, physical, cultural, spiritual, and social parameters. Psychological well-being is, above all, a subjective reality that is reflected in an individual's well-being and self-relationship. The purpose of the study is to identify the differences in the level of psychological well-being between non-athletes and athletes, particularly those engaged in martial arts (using taekwondo as an example). Research methods and organization. The sample of the study consisted of students from the 2nd to 4th years of universities in Saint Petersburg. The level of psychological well-being was measured using the "Psychological Well-Being Scale" questionnaire. The mathematical processing of the data was carried out using the Mann-Whitney criterion. Research results and conclusions. As a result of the study, it has been established that engaging in sports has a positive impact on an individual's psychological well-being, regardless of the type of sport practiced. Among men, the average level of psychological well-being of taekwondo athletes is lower than that of athletes in other sports, while among women, taekwondo athletes exhibit a higher level of psychological well-being compared to athletes in other sports. The average levels of psychological well-being among non-athlete women are below the norm. The differences between non-athletes and taekwondo athletes are observed at a high level of significance, as are the differences between non-athletes and athletes in other sports. At the same time, the data of the study of taekwondo athletes and other athletes do not differ at the level of statistical significance.

THE PSYCHOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF A MOTHER'S ATTITUDE TOWARDS A CHILD WITH INTELLECTUAL DISABILITIES

Ushakova V.R.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to identify the characteristic features of a mother's attitude towards a child with intellectual disabilities in comparison to a mother of a child with normal psychological development. Research methods and organization. Methods of analysis and generalization of literary sources, surveys, questionnaires, and interviews, as well as methods of mathematical statistics, were employed. The study was conducted over a period of two years with the participation of 120 mothers. Research results and conclusions. The study revealed statistically significant differences in the emotional-evaluative, cognitive, and behavioral parameters of the mother's attitude towards a child with intellectual disabilities compared to a child with normal psychological development. The results obtained allow us to conclude that the mothers of children with intellectual disabilities, on one hand, suppress the child's willful and emotional expressions, particularly aggression. On the other hand, they strive to accelerate the child's maturation process by developing their activity. Difficulties arise in expressing empathy and emotional support for the child with intellectual disabilities, with a predominance of a negative emotional background and uncertainty in solving problems related to the child's upbringing. Unlike the mothers of children with normal psychological development, they seek to ensure the child's safety and protection, demonstrate physical contact and empathy, focus on the child, while at the same time intruding into their personal space. The article outlines the prospects for further research.
