Abstract
The purpose of the study is to study the features of the psycho-emotional state and adaptation to the disease in patients with atopic dermatitis, taking into account gender differences.
Research methods: analysis and generalization of scientific and methodological literature, psychodiagnostic techniques for assessing emotional state, determining quality of life, social adaptation, and methods of mathematical statistics.
Research results and conclusions. During the research, gender differences in attitudes towards illness and the level of discomfort caused by dermatological problems were identified. Significant differences in types of attitudes towards illness were found, with a prevalence of anxious and hypochondriacal types in women, and apathetic and hypochondriacal types in men. The obtained data confirm the existence of significant gender differences in the perception and adaptation to atopic dermatitis. These results emphasize the importance of considering psycho-emotional factors and developing differentiated approaches to the treatment and psychological support of patients, taking their gender into account.
