Closure of the Bureya River in April 2016 and Filling of the Plinth of the Lower Bureya Dam

At the preliminary design stage, the closure of the Bureya river was scheduled for October 20, 2015. The actual status of construction necessitated rescheduling the river closure for March 20, 2016, alteration of design discharges, 3D simulation, and adjustment of design solutions. The actual conditions of river closure on April 19, 2016 are described.
