Abstract

A synthetic route to novel 3-bromo-substituted 1-hydroxypyrrolo[3,4-f]indole-5,7-diones via the reaction of 1-hydroxypyrrolo[3,4-f]indole-5,7-diones with N-bromosuccinimide was developed.
